When I was studying in Bengaluru,I craved authentic Bihari food so much. Finding North Indian popular food wasn't that difficult but I could never find sattu paratha over there. Whenever I came back home in holidays, the first thing I demanded to eat was sattu paratha. We Bihari people don't eat sattu paratha everyday but maybe 2-3 times a month, maybe once a week in winters. My personal favorite is sattu paratha with homemade mango pickle/stuffed red chili pickle and a hot cup of tea.
This is my personal favourite dish..when I was in my college I was not able to get sattu Paratha there,so during my visit to home town the first thing my mother used to cook was Sattu Paratha..😋 Now after marriage I am able to prepare this by myself. Love this a lot.

Sir Almost in every home in our area(jharkhand) mustard oil is used while frying sattu kaa paratha.... it enchances the flavour multiple times.. moreover we used to say "loiya" instead of aata ke pede😀

I ate sattu ka parantha in Banaras for the first time several years ago at a place called Burger King in Nadesar Varanasi. It was amazing and I used to go to this take away QSR many times when I stayed in Varanasi. This video bought back all the happy memories of Benaras along with the taste of sattu parantha and choora matar

Are kal raat hi banaya... Being a bihari Sattu ka paratha is always on the list. With baigan ka bharta, dhaniye ki chatni.. And tamatar ki gud wali chatni bhi ho to awesome. So you know.... Har bihari ki pehchan... Litti ho ya paratha kabhi kam na ho sattu.
