Hi, details of the wing retention can be found on their Sopwith Pup kit here; www.dropbox.com/s/yai4aleu0jyjjby/DBSS%20Sopwith%20Pup%20Instructions%20SpringClip.pdf?dl=0 whilst details of how the rigging is done are here; www.dbsportandscale.com/ekmps/shops/290035/resources/Other/PupRigging.pdf
This model is fitted with a PO 5065-360 brushless motor turning a 17x8" propeller through a 70Amp ESC. We might put a bigger (80 - 100A) ESC in the future though. The battery is a HRB 6s 6000mAh Lipo.
You should have used RCME plan no. 135 - working rigging with folding wings, as per the real thing. This avoids all rigging problems. Slats and navigation lights dont look right. Mine has Enya 120 which sounds more realistic and avoids the use of massive heavy lipo. Cabane is not scale. Jason had stub exhaust system, which you can replicate with brass tube and silver solder, thereby directing most of the exhaust over the top of the model. OK apart from that.
We are more than happy with the DB Sport&Scale kit - it is a lovely laser cut kit. The rigging really is no problem with this design as it assembles very quickly requiring no tools. This Moth is modelled on Amy Johnson's aeroplane which had both slats and navigation lights. We designed ours from scratch, using a limited number of photographs found online. The electric setup is very light and avoids the need for any nose weight and we elected to use it as my wife doesn't like the idea of fuel being dripped all over the house when the model is stored... Thank you for your comment
Fascinating
Thanks
Ottimo!
Thanks
Congratulations, a beautiful model, well flown. A joy to watch.
Thanks
Wonderful looking Moth, I love the tensioners👍🏻
Thanks. The tensioner system makes rigging/derigging for transport a breeze.
Beautiful plane!
Thanks
