I love your suggestion of supporting the actual indigenous group whose art/craft/pottery you want display. This is not my style but I’ve very much enjoyed this series.
This was so well done!! The visuals were beautiful and I really appreciated that you actually mentioned colonization and appropriation and encouraged people to buy directly from Native people. 👏👏👏
How about Wayfair CEO Niraj Shash takes a pay cut so that his employees can work harder and get paid more? I bought most of my home furniture last year from Wayfair and that will stop, never again! Treat employees right!!
I really enjoyed seeing what’s new with SW decor. I’m 71 and have lived half my life in San Diego and half my life in Phoenix. To me San Diego and up the coast is Spanish and Mexican. Totally different. 😊
Love Kaz and this is a new favorite !! 😊 I thought I wasn't a big southwest fan before this video but Kaz mentioning the earth colors like sage green and the simultaneous ruggedness but also comfort reminded me of the great qualities of it! I live in Texas but I live in Dallas, where a lot of that ruggedness is far gone. Still, this style is a nice reminder of the open road and the "yeehaw" nature of Texas 😊😂
Im in love with southwestern style, I love the desert even though I live in a place in western Mexico that's not really desert. I love seeing it when I go north to Sonora, south of Arizona. Can't say RDR didnt influence my liking of it through. Thanks for this video it was cool and I will use this to build my ideal house in the sims As another comment said, bring Kaz back please!!
My home in Arizona is territorial style. My decor is the earth tones, leather, wood, western and Native American art and some boho thrown in. It’s my favorite style. It is warm and cozy.
When living in Tempe AZ in a home with terra cotta floors and inlaid southwestern patterns in the cabinetry, my husband and I had fun picking up decor in Puenta Penasco Mexico (known as Rocky Point to gringos). We called it QVC on the Beach when the artisans plied their ware to us while we sat by the ocean! We even had a dried cactus carcass that we decorated with chili lights at Christmas. 🥰
I had to watch this being from Ft. Worth. I immediately recognized where you were while watching your other channel. Did you hit up all the shops at The Stockyards? I miss that place and love Riscky's Barbeque.
This was great thank you for the time and energy you put into this love it from Arizona and I am going to be moving to New Mexico very soon I am a desert dweller🌈❤️.. I grew up right next to pay my Indian reservations, and only have real turquoise, as well as pottery from the Hopi tribe or kachina dolls
Good video minus your negative comments about cultural appropriation. Having native american in my blood...yet being blonde....I love the native american fashion...but don't want to be judged by lefties
What’s your favorite characteristic of southwestern design?
Kaz' embroidered shirt! 😄
I really enjoy the colour palette, right up my alley.
Bright colors, wool, wood, leather , Metals , awesome tile floors , stones , rocks , pottery .....

a holstien pelt rug, a jackalope head on the wall and a lamp made from an old time flour sifter with holes punched into it
This is very interesting! I'm from Germany, so I have never seen this style before.

Thank you for the history lesson!!
Yay! I'm from NM and the true southwest style here is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for speaking so appreciatively!
