Okay, with some genuinely funny moments, but something is off with the timing. Either because everybody is so nervous about not screwing the reboot up, or the laugh track instead of a live audience is throwing everyone off. John Larroquette's comedic timing is still spot on, but you can tell in some scenes he is waiting for the other actors with a look on his face that says "okay, now it's your turn to be funny...".
I don’t like ,India ,I think that’s her real name, she has the brown long hair ,she can’t act her way out of a wet paper bag . She is over dramatic. The bailiff can take a notch down,. Abby is ok,considering, she has big shoes to fill, love Dan fielding .
Richard Moll is amazing for what he does and in voiceacting 🙂. His iconic raspy voice of Two Face was really memorable in Batman TAS and it was perfect for the villain.
In Night Court, Richard Moll (Bull) was cast AGAINST type. In both his pre and post NC career has often cast as villains, possibly because of his tremendous size. On the series, he was playing a good guy for a change
Had to be one of the tallest casts ever assembled. Moll was 6’8”, Harry Anderson and John Laroquette were both around 6’4”- 6’5”, and Charles Robinson looked to be about 6’2”.
They were going to have Spiner join the show as a regular. Running a news stand in the Court house with his wife. But he was offered a role on Star Trek and too it instead...
@@elisa9833 You have to remember it wasn't only Bob. It was Bob & June (Annie O'Donnell) & little Carol Ann, who would be grown now, maybe with a next of kin.
I was a little kid when it was on Ive been watching it on RUclips with the hoopla about the reboot nostalgia excepted what a silly smart show -brings me back to a simpler time on TV. RIP to Selma, flo Charles Harry Markie, Mel etc.
My original favorite character was Selma. After she passed away, my favorite was Florence. After she Passed away, my favorite was Roz. (In the reboot, so far... I think my favorite character is Abigal.)
Yeah I remember Robinson being in an interracial marriage on this show, interesting because my wife's Asian and I'm black and you usually don't see that on TV even nowadays.
Would love to see Ellen Foley come back as Billie for an episode in the reboot, maybe as a fill in prosecutor, flipping her and Dan's roles from the original.
My favorite episode is when Bull gets hit by lightning and gives away all his personal belongings. Judge Harry figures out that what Bull thought was God, was actually Art talking to him on the radio. To which Bull replies "Oh I get it! Our father who is Art in heaven!" One of the funniest lines ever delivered!!! 🤣
You left out Paula Kelly (Liz) and Karen Austin (Lana) both from season 1. What about John Astin (Buddy), Mike Finneran (Art), Yakov Smirnoff (Yakov), Bumper Robinson (Leon), Christine's husband Tony (Ray Abruzzo), Harry's fiance Margaret (Mary Cadorette), and Mel Tormè?
I know, this video is a joke and is also very disrespectful. But they also forgot the first public defender, Gail Strickland (the lady with the glasses). I think she was only in the pilot episode, but she still should've been mentioned because they said "original cast members." So this video should be showing all of them and none of their replacements (sans Paula Kelly as Liz) regardless of the fact that some of the replacements went on to become the most notable in the history of the show (Charles Robinson as Mac, etc.).
I was born in 1980 so shows like Night Court were always on television growing up. Not just it's original run but syndication as well. Before everyone got cable you got 4 channels and PBS and that was it. Loved this show and it's sad to think that so many cast members have died. RIP to Harry, Charles, Markie Post and of course Reinhold.
Even if some of those characters might never want to become staples again. I hope they will at least reprise their rolls as guest stars in the new Night Court. I remember Quan Lee (sp?) I remember her so cute a funny and just so easily loveable. I also would love to see Ross again.
I had heard that all the other cast was dead except for John Laroquette. Im glad they had better things to do than the reboot. Like laundry, or watching paint dry.
They were all so tall. The "shortest" of the longest cast was Markie Post, and she was 5'6", and frequently wore heels to make her around 5'9", which is why so many guest actors were dwarfed by the cast- watch the one with Michael Richards on youtube, he was the tallest guy on Seinfeld, but the shortest guy on Night Court!
Two shows Richrad Moll was in that stands out it me that you didn't mention was Scooy-doo Curse Of The Lake Monster movie, and an episode of Laverne & Shirley.
When Night Court was on it was an anchor of consistency and logic and hopefulness. All ways Wishes it was 👍. It was a Goal of Civilazation. ( in my mind
The other roles I associate with Richard Moll are Frankenstine's Monster in an episode of Weird Science and a prison attendant in the spoof Loaded Weapon 1.
Night court definitely inspired so many sitcoms for example Brooklyn 99: Jake and Holt is like Harry Rosa is like Dan Amy is like Christine Charles is like Bull Terry is Mac Roz is like Gina.
I don't know who is in that clip of a supposedly older William Utay but that's not him. The hair line is totally different, not to mention his whole face, and if you Google William Utay, you can see what he actually looks like now. Spoiler: He is pretty much bald and actually looks like an older version of what you see in these Night Court clips.
Great vid, as usual, except for one goof... Who you confused as 'Richard Mull' in the movie "Jingle All The Way", is actually WWE wrestler, 'Paul Wight', aka 'The Big Show'... Now prove me wrong...? 🙄
I think there's some supporting cast members left. The actor who plays Bob is still alive, but I think the June actress passed away. I don't know about the actor who played Yakov. Michael J. Fox is still around, but he was only on for 2 Night Court episodes.
Before Night Court, Richard Moll was in horror films as, i believe, Pincushion and other monsters. Other well known stars like Tim Robbins and Dolph Lundgren started out in "monster" rolls because of their height.
I remember watching a B-movie horror flick on some local late Friday night creep show (like local stations used to do to fill air time before infomercials and teleshopping became the go-to for programming). It was called Cat-alysm, and Moll played a scientist/researcher/philosopher trying to turn people into cats or something. I remember it because I was pretty sure it was Bull, but the credit said Charles Moll instead of Richard Moll. I didn't realize at the time that was his actual first name.

One of the best 80s shows. Always loved it. Hopefully some of the original extended cast will appear on the reboot.

Marsha Warfield plays Hen's (Henrietta) Mom on 9-1-1. She isn't a regular character but has appeared on the show several times.
I came here to say the same...such a great casting choice
She was classic
Thank you for mentioning this! I was just about to say the same thing! I thought that she was excellent in this role!!
Yeah it was very cool to see her on 911...
I was going to mention that if nobody else did.
Why did you show Paul Wight... The Big Show when you mentioned Jingle All the Way? That wasn't his character.
when i see John Larroquette, i always remember his role in "Blind Date"
My favorite role of John Larroquette is Mark Bannister in Madhouse!! Hysterical, but I DID like him in Blind Date as well!!😊😊
In Night Court, Richard Moll (Bull) was cast AGAINST type. In both his pre and post NC career has often cast as villains, possibly because of his tremendous size. On the series, he was playing a good guy for a change
The shaved head made him look less scary.
On Dr Quinn he played a good guy that was in a train crash.
I miss Harry, Charles and Markie. Mac was my favorite next to Dan. Would love to see as much of the old cast as possible make appearances
If the show lasts, you can count on it.
There’s a mini reunion in an episode of 30 rock
Marsha Warfield did appear as Roz in the final scene of the first season.
Dan was my #1 favorite character & Harry was my 2nd favorite!!

Markie post was also on the fall guy for years

Wise choice, lol
In a way I'm sorry he did. Bob Wheeler was one of the funniest characters on television. I hope they have him back.

that "Abby" actually isn't short
for Abigail. It's related to Harry's
interest in magic. Think about it.
The Elf in Jingle all the way was NOT Richard Moll as u reported, it was Pro Wrestler Paul Wight aka The Big Show
Your right
