Speaking of your honorable mention, Strider, I’ve got a story to share. Around 100+ school music department students (myself included) were down in Orlando the last week of March. Our hotel was located only blocks away from that amusement park. The hotel itself had floors high enough (we were rooming on the top floor, the 5th) to easily see the tallest rides; the ferris wheel, the slingshot, the free fall, and plenty more. On the day that poor kid died, we arrived at the hotel at 9pm or so. Former theme park worker here and they used to hammer it into our head about the tragedy that happened on the Thunder River Rapids Ride, including the horrible way that those poor people died. Just to note, they did not die by drowning. Makes my skin crawl.
Yeah 😔I left out the cause of death and the paramedic's trauma for that. I took a long time to write this one because I needed to figure out how to do it tastefully, while still being transparent. Particularly cases like the cause of death for river rapids and verrukt. Gruesome to say the least.
Multiple rapids rides have had problems with rafts flipping over for some reason. There was a fatal accident at Adventureland in Iowa just last year, which got oddly muted coverage (though the park is under new management now and the ride is still closed). I love these rides but it does give me pause.
I was one of the final people to ever ride the Son of Beast, it closed only a few minutes after I rode it and never reopened. Not surprising at all considering this thing was like riding in a paint mixer. I've ridden many roller coasters all across the U.S. and have never ridden anything as rough as the Son of Beast.
I think had Intamin built Son of Beast, it probably would still be here or RMC'd by now. I think even for 1999/2000, it was too early for CCI or GCI to create a huge project like that.
I would go to Kings Island almost every summer as a kid because I would visit Indiana to see family. I remember riding The Beast and the Son of the Beast. I loved the wooden roller coasters.
@filmtheory783 That would be a pretty stupid thing to lie about. I got off the ride and went back to get in line again, and it was closed, and to my knowledge, it didn't reopen again the rest of the day, or ever.
As a rollercoaster enthusiast, I do feel terrible for the people affected by incidents. It truly is tragic but the odds are so incredibly low the chances of even minor injuries are low.
1 in 750 million to be exact, are your odds of dying on a theme-park ride. Meanwhile, odds of dying while driving a car? 1 in 109 last time I checked. Nearly 7 million times more likely.

@@awesometwitchy much like with cars, it’s good to also check the product’s manufacturer and see if they have a history of creating unsafe products. Riding a Disney World ride is much more safer then riding some county fair ride made by a company that outsources their rides from China

Schlitterbahn had actually been one of a chain of water parks and had even had talks of expanding before this incident. Unsurprisingly that never came to pass and they got bought out a couple years ago by Cedar Fair. I worked at one of the parks at the time of the buyout and Bruno got talked about more than what happened to cause the buy out.
I enjoyed watching "Class Action Park" from 2020. That place has always fascinated me since I first heard about some years ago, mostly because of the lax laws with amusement parks in the state at the time. Plus, the original owner was more interested in profit than safety and often ignored the red flags. There's a book written by the son of the original owner, who actually worked there during the summers when he was in high school and mentioned some rather unsettling things that happened during his time there, not just the rides. I do recommend it!
Agreed. It's so fascinating because so many terrible choices were made, so many things went terribly wrong that it almost feels too bizarre to be actually real.
To be fair... if you were going to Action Park, you kinda knew what you were getting in to. Comparatively it wasn't "much" worse than Dolores Lake in California. It just happened to occur much more recently, and had law suits involved.
If you wanna see a less tragic dramatization of the events of Action Park, watch the movie Action Point starring Johnny Knoxville. Also, to clarify, Mountain Creek IS Action Park, just under new management, and made "marginally" safer, i.e. they make sure you can actually swim first.
PhantomStrider makes a solid point about how the ground-rule expectation is that rides are safe. After all, there are countless cheaper ways to get thrills that aren’t. Safety is essentially what riders pay for.
Perfect timing after the tragedy that just recently occurred to that poor boy on the lift ride- my heart breaks for his family. Definitely going to be more cautious with rides. Thank you for this informative video.

Mad respect for covering that free fall incident in Orlando. I didn’t even know it happened until my mother in law told me about it and I watched the whole uncensored video. Tore my heart up real bad. Deepest respect to the family and again massive respect to you for covering this Strider
As someone who lives near Orlando herself, I'm glad you mentioned both the monorail incident at Disney as well as the more recent Orlando Freefall incident. I only vaguely remember the Disney Monorail incident since I was still really young when it happened. However, what I do know is that after the incident, they got rid of both monorails purple and pink and used the nondamaged parts to created monorails peach and teal. They mostly likely did this to not recall monorails purple and pink with the incident, to which I give respect to that decision. As for the Orlando Freefall incident, I sadly don't know too much else about it besides what has been stated already. The only other thing I could add is that after the incident all the rides made by the same manufacturers closed down from reinspection. However, that was a few weeks ago when the incident freshly happened. I don't know if any have reopened since then. However, I still do give my sympathy and condolences to the family as the accident could've been avoided and the ride having more precautions. Again, I have mad respects for you covering both of those incidents with care, especially as the later one is still effecting the Central Florida area greatly as well as the theme park ride manufacturing industry as a whole.
There is that one theme park ride that is very dangerous: "Fiery First O Pain" from Glove World. _That's right! Glove World has a new ride. It's BIG! It's FAST! and It's PAINFUL! Fiery Fist O Pain! Opening tomorrow only at Glove World!_
I've actually seen the Verruckt, on the day it happened too. I never rode it, or even went to that park, just saw it from the highway, though it oddly caught my eye that day in particular. It was rather haunting when i got home and read the news.
Wait...you telling me people who lived next to a amusement park, complained about noises? That's like getting mad at a neighborhood farmer because his roosters or the smell. YOU LIVE NEXT TO A DAMN AMUSEMENT PARK, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU GOING TO HEAR? EMU JESUS OR THE OCEAN WAVE?
Nice job again, Strider. It's nice to see you branching off into other content like this. Keep up the good work. As for the video topic, I don't know whether you've heard of The Smiler Incident. The Smiler was a groundbreaking steel inversion rollercoaster which opened in 2013 at Alton Towers here in the UK, a park known for a lot of amazing coasters. In 2015, the most infamous UK theme park incident in recent years happened when an empty train which had stalled on a test run collided with a loaded train, causing serious injuries to several riders. It's debated on whether a gust of wind caused the test train to stall, or whether the lift suspension broke. But what people do know is that the people operating the ride ignored the warnings and kept the ride running, unaware that another train was coming down the track until it was too late. Alton Towers was slapped with a huge lawsuit over the incident and several people involved in the incident appeared on UK news and daytime shows to voice their opinions. And although The Smiler (as well as similar rides elsewhere in the UK) would reopen in the 2016 season with increased security measures in place, the reputation of Alton Towers would never be quite the same afterwards.
It's such a shame that it happened. The Smiler itself was and is perfectly safe - provided the people running it do their jobs. To think a couple of ride operators actions led to a really crappy accident
If I recall correctly, they had to intentionally disable the safety system designed to prevent this from happening. That makes it a problem with park procedures and training.
Imo The Smiler doesn't need to be on the list as it is incredibly safe. Unlike the rides in the video, the Smiler incident was caused by a bad operator.
Good god! Who knew thaat these theme parks actually exist? Such a shame that most of these parks had a lot of issues in its structure and risk-preventing decisions. On the plus side, another nice and detailed review as always, Strider. Have a good day!
It's actually quite a scary thought that something malfunctions and goes wrong in the middle of a ride and there's nothing you can do about it. I had a minor incident once myself but nothing compared to all those people on the rides mentioned have to go through
As a lifeguard myself I can't imagine working at Action Park given that I've had to rescue maybe 2 or 3 people in my entire career. The wave pool would probably have me save even more in the span of a weekend!
You could probably make a "Top 10 Action Park Fails" alone. Seriously that has to be the worst theme park of all time. And oh my god a ton of these other rides just sound unbelievable. With some fascinating stories behind them, I do have to admit that.
I rode the Verrukt while it was still open. Despite the ride being brand new, the rafts looked like they were 30 years old. There were holes all over them and just Velcro straps to keep you in that could easily be undone. They had a big scale everyone had to stand on to make sure the weight was distributed. I was 11 or 12, they needed someone to come up that was 150 pounds, they settled for me saying “good enough” even though I was about 90. Turned out they were still doing tests with sand bags after it was opened during the night. Crazy something awful didn’t happen sooner
As someone who works for a theme park, I would like to say that the number one priority is safety and that if there’s any problems with a ride, at least at my park, the customers are immediately taken of the ride or the broken piece of equipment and the issue is reported to management who will either have a look themselves or send someone from maintenance down to have a look
I figured Action Park would be number one. Action Park was just pure chaos. The nearby hospital even had several ambulances that were specifically for Action Park, because of all the accidents. Another factor for people almost drowning and sadly, actually drowning, is the water in the park. The water was really cold because it was natural mountain spring water, when people hit the water, especially on the Tarzan Swing, they’d sometimes go into shock. Action Park is still around, though now it’s called Mountain Creek Park.
I live in Vernon, Action Park is technically still open, under a different name. It's called Mountain Creek now. It's a lot safer, but still not the best.
I'm going to be very honest- this guy kept coming up in my recommended stuff, and I thought he was kind of dorky at first. Now, I watch his stuff almost everyday and it makes me smile every time. He's extremely smart, and his cute humor caught on to me. I think that's great. Thanks, man, for all the fun vids and keep it up!
Here in the UK, the most notorious ride accident in recent years was The Smiler crash in 2015. It seriously injured four people, with two of them receiving life changing injuries. I know that theme park rides are generally very safe and the chances of accidents are tiny, especially these days, but I can’t help but feel a bit nervous about them sometimes
Yeah, although the Smiler's accident was purely a human error, since the computer rightfully blocked the loaded train at the first block of brakes, it still makes me nervous knowing how easy it is to get injured or die
the smiler was human error and it will never happen again it shouldn't have been open because the winds were too high when they added the 5th train they should have told the operators they should have put water dummies on the train to make sure the coaster made it through the track when they put the guests on and the ride stopped on the lift hill they should have checked all the camaras not just check how many trains there were i have been on the smiler and it is one of the safest coasters in the world
I’m sorry to hear that Nin got hurt one time. It’s devastating how an interesting concept for a ride turns out to have a bad execution that results in a disaster. :( On a lighter note, this is a great collaboration with my old pal Matt! As always, the gags with Boo are super adorable! Keep up the great work, Josh! :)
Looking at the footage of Action Park, and it's hard to not get appalled. One thing I noticed was inner tubes going over other riders, which looks extremely painful. Of course, what really bugs me is that water slide with the loop. There's a reason those loops are exclusive to roller coasters!
I still remember Accident Park (I lived in NJ and my aunt & uncle lived less than a mile away from the park). Still amazed that myself and friends never ended up in the hospital after going there a few times. It was nuts the things they allowed to go on.
To be fair, you're most likely to be hurt or killed by a vending machine than a rollercoaster ride. But with THESE rides, it's probably in a similar vain or more lethal.
I'm from New Jersey my Dad, and Uncles actually use to work at Action Park the way they described it as "A War Zone in Theme Park form" And the hardest part of the Job was keeping people alive.
On a much more serious note, being an Englishman, I’m glad I haven’t been in a serious accident to date, but hearing all the horrible tragedies that have happened over the last 100 years must have been devastating. I know I would be horrified if I was there. I’m glad that the regulations helped to keep lawsuits from coming in. I’m also glad to be a British voice actor, because I can say my thoughts on a few things that haven’t always been talked about, and also create my own videos, though it’s still in the early stages. If you did want me to be reviewed, I’d be very glad to give my thoughts, and anyways, it’s nice to get my voice in high quality out, and learn new things about me. Also, before number one, if that theme park boss had multiple incidents thrown at him, I bet he would be laughing on the other side of his face, because it’s better to be safe than sorry, like you said. But number one’s incidents just infuriates me, I can’t believe that they didn’t shut down earlier! Even I, I! I of all people would probably recommend people, NOT to go there! As for the video itself, I respect the people who suffered on those rides, but I’m glad safety regulations have helped keep everyone safe in the following 80 years, now everyone else can enjoy these rides and be safe too! As for your mini segments (between the main segments), I really like your relationship with Boo, it really makes the story really interesting and gives me a smile to still enjoy watching like Dog Bites Bear from Modern Family Guy! Thanks for reading everyone!
I have Veloxrotaphobia, more commonly known as coasterphobia(fear of amusement park rides). The only ride I can go on that doesn't give me a panic attack is the bumper cars.
There was a story on the news over here in the States in the early 2010s about a ride called the Texas Giant. From what I can recall, staff were preparing to give people a ride and there was a woman who was extra nervous. She asked if she could hear them clicking her in again and the employee said she was ok as long as she heard the first click. While the Texas Giant was in operation, the poor woman got thrown clean from the ride and was tragically killed. The ride was closed afterwards, but since I am not a resident of Texas I cannot say whether or not it got reopened.
I heard about this accident. The ride was closed for a short time, but it did reopen. I’m pretty sure it was deemed operator error. Before the accident the ride operated with just lap bars, but a seatbelt was added as a redundant safety restraint. That accident was almost 10 years ago, and thankfully it hasn’t had an accident since.
Finally a "dangerous" theme park rides video that isn't clickbaity. I've seen many clickbait coaster videos where they put roller coasters that never had any accidents as deadly and don't respect the viewers (I'm looking at YOU, Top5Central). It's a breath of fresh air to see a video like this where research is done carefully and is very respectful.
here's a thought: abandoned amusement parks. especially Chippewa Lake Amusement Park was located at Chippewa Lake south of Cleveland. It operated for 100 years, finally closing in 1978 due to the lack of attendance. After the park died, it birthed renewed interest but for all the wrong reasons. Although it closed for good, its rides remained largely intact but neglected for the next 30 years
As a guy from Ohio; I vaguely remember the Son of Beast. I remember somewhere in the last two weeks of its operation, we went to Kings Island and I can easily say that it was very uncomfortable to ride. My neck was jerked around a lot to the point I thought that it would come right off. Honestly, I do love roller coasters and I hope they can had more safety regulations on them.
Kings Island holds so many memories for me. It's a beautiful place and everytime I visit I feel safe and cared for by all the staff. I feel as if they actually care.
Kings Island is awesome!! I went there once years ago with a friend and it’s one of the best amusement parks I’ve been too (I’m a big amusement park fan)
Honestly, I think all of us theme park enthusiasts saw #1 coming. On that note, now that theme park lists are on the table, maybe you could do a top ‘favourite rides’ list? P.S. After all the times you’ve voiced characters like King Boo and Porygon on LuigiFan00001’s channel, it’s neat to see him return the favour and be in one of your videos!
Disney on their own have iconic rides like Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion (with even a worthy cousin ride at Hong Kong Disneyland), Disney Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Matterhorn (it even help Arrow Development become a giant known as Arrow Dynamics), and Mount Everest. Other potentially worthy rides include Test Track 2.0, Mission: Space (more so the tamer green mission), Tron coaster, Indiana Jones Adventure, Star Tours: The Adventures Continues, Fantasyland dark rides, Spaceship Earth, Radiator Springs Racers, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, Sailing Ship Columbia, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, People Mover WDW, Living with the Land (more so for its good message), Slinky Dog Dash, Avatar Flight of Passage, Kilimanjaro Safaris (the closest to Walt's original vision for Jungle Cruise), Kali River Rapids, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Incredicoaster, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (DisneySea), and Journey to the Center of the Earth (Disneysea).
As a Wisconsinite who's been to Mt. Olympus, you are absolutely right about the Catapult. The wave pool is a bit dangerous, too, but nothing compared to Action Park. I've learned from these attractions to keep my feet on the ground or in safe waters. Unfortunately, many others haven't.
If anyone is interested in theme parks and other horror stories like this, there's a channel called Fascinating Horror that you should definitely check out. It goes into the history of the event, the moments preceding the event, before leading into the event itself, and the aftermath, like what changes were made to safety regulations because of the tragedies, and if responsibility was taken by the companies involved. It's a lot less goofy than this channel, and pays its respect to the deceased. But definitely worth checking out for anyone further interested. They've even covered a few of the theme parks mentioned in this video, like the Class Action Park and the Disney Monorail incident.
The Orlando Free Fall is right across from where I live, the amount of times it brings us dread when we drive past it is terrifying, it's also still the talk around here, the ride operators really should've been more careful with the safety on that thing
The good, the bad and the ugly of Theme park topics seems like a fun avenue of entertainment for Strider to explore and I am onboard with more forays into this direction
I remember going to one of those wave pools when I was a kid, and I've always been short so the waves often dragged me into the deeper parts of the pool against my will. I can't say I almost drowned, but I did go under a few times to the point that my throat burned from coughing up water.
So about this newspaper right here at 30:09. The man who drown in the pool was a man named "Gregory Grandchamps." That was my grandma's last name before she got married and he's my dad's cousin. My dad did live in Queens at the time and everyone from New York wanted to go there. My dad told me about this when he paused on the newspaper about him and told some background information about it. I don't want the video taken down because you don't disrespect anyone, so don't get the wrong idea. I'm just here to give some information about the newspaper clip.
Listening to you discuss the topics that interest you is always so soothing and entertaining. I've often found myself watching your content after a bad day at work or even just listening to your videos while I'm at work to keep my stress levels down. Thank you for the content you make, Strider. I'll always be looking forward to seeing what topic you cover next 🙂
It breaks my heart just knowing that people can get hurt or killed on these rides. My deepest thoughts and prays to the families that have either been injured or who have lost loved ones. Just hearing about all this makes me avoid rides like these but also makes me cautious about visiting theme parks as well.
According to reports, the Dreamland accident was so traumatizing that the first responders/paramedics needed counseling. That should give you an idea of how horrific the scene must have been.
My mom was a kid in NJ when action park was around, and although she never went, she mentioned how it was the place to go, and had no idea of its history. She was very interested in the documentaries on it after hearing it from me lol
There are dangerous theme park rides. And there is Action Park, a park in a class all by itself that killed or injured more guests than all of the others mentioned in this video.
I'll mention one from my hometown: the Galaxyland Mindbender in Edmonton, Canada. In 1986, the rear car on the Mindbender ride (large indoor roller coaster) derailed and 3 people lost their lives. An old family friend was wotking security at the time and was on the scene of that tragedy, he's still shaken about it.
Holy crud, Mount Olympus, Wisconsin. I’ve been there twice, and the first time I was there, I went on Hades, and it went straight down to immediately straight and I hit my nose so hard on the safety bar during that transition.
I actually got to ride the Son of Beast and yeah it was rough. Wooden coasters usually jolten and shaken the riders but the Son of Beast was on a whole different level. I remember I was 5 when I rode it with my dad and afterwards me and my dad both complaibed about neck and back pain for a few days.
There was this one time my dad and I went on a Rollercoaster that was a bit old. Unfortunately the ride was somewhat unstable that it hurt my dad's back badly. To this day, I wonder if they ever fixed it.
I have been watching your channel ever since 2016 (I was 12 and I watched cartoons/anime,) and I admire how entertaining but respectful you are to dark topics.
An easy contender is the second incarnation of Mickey Mouse's costume. It's somehow worse than the OG costume (which at least had the excuse they were on a tight budget; Walt ran out of money for Tomorrowland and thus was never happy with the 1950s incarnation).
For the honorable mention, it turned out that the kid's weight exceeded the ride's limits. So logically, when you think about it; not only was the ride operator at fault, but so was the family. The kid was literally too heavy to go on those rides and honestly, he shouldn't have even been there.
Update on the Orlando Freefall story: It turns out the teenager was almost 100 lb over the ride's weight limit. He was too heavy to ride, but was allowed on anyway.
I love how Strider is respectful to all the victims who died or injured yet still keeps it entertaining. Good on You

Same I remember it since it was in Kansas City they tore it down finally
@@bigbearkat2010 there are still at least 2 Schlitterbahns left in Texas. One in New Braunfels and another in Galveston.
Me too! I was and still am very fascinated by Class Action Park
Book name?
"My deepest respects go to any people who may have been injured or killed."
Phantomstrider is a true Chad.

Ok i want this comment to be the top comment
The skit between boo and phantom between 6 and 5 was a clip of the cosmo curves from the theme park I go to the most knobels
Yeah out of everything on this list the Disneyworld Monorail isn’t one I’d expect.
Yeah, I can’t believe Josh mentioned the ride.
I hope Coaster College makes a more in-depth video of that event.
The way Boo says "Yeah!" and "Whee!" I love it.
He seems to be extra adorable this video

There is that one theme park ride that is very dangerous: "Fiery First O Pain" from Glove World.
_That's right! Glove World has a new ride. It's BIG! It's FAST! and It's PAINFUL! Fiery Fist O Pain! Opening tomorrow only at Glove World!_
But it could stay because in cartoons, they don't care about safety laws
I've actually seen the Verruckt, on the day it happened too. I never rode it, or even went to that park, just saw it from the highway, though it oddly caught my eye that day in particular. It was rather haunting when i got home and read the news.
Wait...you telling me people who lived next to a amusement park, complained about noises? That's like getting mad at a neighborhood farmer because his roosters or the smell. YOU LIVE NEXT TO A DAMN AMUSEMENT PARK, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU GOING TO HEAR? EMU JESUS OR THE OCEAN WAVE?
my best guess is that the park was built after those people bought those homes, but I can't be sure
They want all the perks of the location with none of the (many) drawbacks 💀
@@galaxycoffee933 I think that park is super old, so probably not

I remember that, I was at Alton Towers that day. Two girls lost their legs because of it. But still, it could have been a lot worse.
That's a good point. It was caused by human error instead of the ride itself.
Why does Boo need to be careful? He’s a ghost. He’s already dead so he can’t get hurt
Good god! Who knew thaat these theme parks actually exist?
Such a shame that most of these parks had a lot of issues in its structure and risk-preventing decisions.
On the plus side, another nice and detailed review as always, Strider. Have a good day!
We need more comments like this
I know that Disney parks has had a lot of trouble over the years, and not just because of the rides either.
One thing I love about this channel is that it tries out new things while also staying true to the core of itself. Thanks for the effort Strider.
Action Park sounds like a collection of rejected Total Drama challenges in the form of a theme park
Jeez! That sounds very scary.
That's a ride that never should have existed, engineered by people who were not competent to do so. Completely inexcusable.
@@MattMcIrvin I agree.
Wow! I can't believe they were sti testing after hours!
@@ninjean9690 Pretty despicable
Ugh, did MR KRABS open the dangerous edition
Squid game: Theme park edition
I know it isn't the point of the video but the boo's little "yay!" makes me so unbelievably happy omg
Yeah, although the Smiler's accident was purely a human error, since the computer rightfully blocked the loaded train at the first block of brakes, it still makes me nervous knowing how easy it is to get injured or die
the smiler was human error and it will never happen again
it shouldn't have been open because the winds were too high
when they added the 5th train they should have told the operators
they should have put water dummies on the train to make sure the coaster made it through the track
when they put the guests on and the ride stopped on the lift hill they should have checked all the camaras not just check how many trains there were
i have been on the smiler and it is one of the safest coasters in the world
I’m sorry to hear that Nin got hurt one time. It’s devastating how an interesting concept for a ride turns out to have a bad execution that results in a disaster. :(
On a lighter note, this is a great collaboration with my old pal Matt! As always, the gags with Boo are super adorable! Keep up the great work, Josh! :)
what is the first thing about?
@@Noob-wt9yk The wedgie thing Stridey mentioned about the waterslide that was way to short to be safe.

This is the quickest I've ever clicked on a PhantomStrider video. Loving the content my man :)
Looking at the footage of Action Park, and it's hard to not get appalled. One thing I noticed was inner tubes going over other riders, which looks extremely painful. Of course, what really bugs me is that water slide with the loop. There's a reason those loops are exclusive to roller coasters!
Who's bright idea was to add loops to water slides ?!
@@errorbirdesther Someone probably, but that's better to stay in video games that do park management, instread of real live
@@claudetheclaudeqc6600 I didn't know players from roller coaster tycoon managed to make a ride in real life ?
It was called the Cannonball Loop, and some teenage boy broke his neck on that thing
And the worst part is that, aside from a few updates to the rides, they don't change.
There is no way Action Park could not be #1
While some rides in history have been dangerous, you’re certainly more likely to die or be injured on the way to the park.

I still remember Accident Park (I lived in NJ and my aunt & uncle lived less than a mile away from the park). Still amazed that myself and friends never ended up in the hospital after going there a few times. It was nuts the things they allowed to go on.

As someone who has a hyperfixation on rollercoaster, I for one love this kind of video
this is why i will never gonna on a theme park ride. ever.

To be fair, you're most likely to be hurt or killed by a vending machine than a rollercoaster ride. But with THESE rides, it's probably in a similar vain or more lethal.

Finally, one of these that isn’t clickbait!
I'm from New Jersey my Dad, and Uncles actually use to work at Action Park the way they described it as "A War Zone in Theme Park form" And the hardest part of the Job was keeping people alive.
I love how at this point Boo is more like Strider's child rather than his Sidekick
does anyone else love his interactions with boo? they're almost like a big brother and little brother relationship
PhantomStrider doing theme park videos???
A surprise to be sure... but a welcome one!
(Very in-depth too. Great job!)
Boo really loves that ice cream, huh?
Although it closed for good, its rides remained largely intact but neglected for the next 30 years
I love that you're trying different types of videos, Strider. I really like that you're experimenting and it's really paying off.

Unlike many other non enthusiast channels that do little to no research you did quite a lot

I don't know if im just sadistic or what but every time you say "the ride exploded" i just crack up laughing
I'm glad I wasn't born in the 1900s.
I actually rode the Son of Beast when I was a kid. I had no idea it was that dangerous. I had a lot of fun when I was on it.
There are dangerous theme park rides. And there is Action Park, a park in a class all by itself that killed or injured more guests than all of the others mentioned in this video.
My mom just casually went there as a kid💀
I love how you do these different topics. They are fresh and well edited. Great job :D

Dude, I’ve been watching your videos for years now! I love them, and your narrative style is awesome!

For the honorable mention, it turned out that the kid's weight exceeded the ride's limits. So logically, when you think about it; not only was the ride operator at fault, but so was the family. The kid was literally too heavy to go on those rides and honestly, he shouldn't have even been there.
