At first I thought I wanted a Z06 But I have grown to love my Eray now that I have tracked it and was on my buddies C8 Z06 A$$ the entire time and we are both competent drivers. Anyone who says the Eray is not a track car hasn’t driven it on the track. The Z06 has a slight advantage with tire, top end speed and added aero in the front BUT the eray is no joke!!!
Cup2s make a good difference.... Hitting the charge + at the right time helps. Hopefully, the after market can make an easy add-on button to better place it on the steering wheel or somewhere easier to get too. Hitting a big turn under high Gs with one hand on the wheel and other shifting my fat thigh over looking for the button doesn't seem ... safe. lol
Nice video, I agree with most of what you’re saying. I have a 2020 C8, and a 2023 ZO6, both of which I am super happy with. The 2020 has 8k miles and Z06 has 1k, I didn’t buy either one to sell or trade anytime soon. I will say knowing what I know now, I should have and plan to soon buy an ERay. At 1st I didn’t care for an EV car , but this isn’t an EV, I didn’t really understand what it was, but now they have been out for a while, after watching several reviews I plan to get one, hopefully by spring. I live in Maine, so corvette season is over till April or May. Lord knows it will be impossible to get a ZR1 , at least the 1st year or 2 , but I plan to get one at some point in future, so when I get an eray and then a ZR1, that will be 10 corvette’s total, the oldest one being a 2010 ZRI, and at my age the ZRI Will likely be the last one as well, I will follow your journey on your Eray. Congratulations!!
You have a great collection and I'm glad you're digging the E-Ray now. You will love it once you drive it, the AWD is truly something special. This car MOVESSSSS
I bought a 22 Red Mist 3LT earlier this year for a fair price. I kinda was thinking about stepping up to an ERay, but for the way that I drive mines, I’m ok where I’m at. I think I’m just gonna hold on to mines until the C9’s come out and I can go in and spec it exactly how I want it. And I do agree that you don’t have to have a 3LT, I’d be ok with a least a 2LT as well.
My 3 C8’s: 1) stingray Z51 coupe 2 LT - torch red 2) stingray non Z51 HTC 2LT - red mist metallic 3) Eray coupe 1LZ - rapid blue Plus 5 previously owned C7s, C6, C5
Agreed.. I waited 3+ years on a list for and E-ray at MSRP, but I could have got one sooner if I paid for one that didnt have all the stuff I wanted. Since GM got rid of the NAV that was more of a reason for me to go to 1LT. The only thing I will miss is the rear back out radar thingie and the blind side warning (should be in all models).
Mine i just bought used but the msrp was 88k in 2021. Same build today is 99500.00. z51 3lt mag ride with front lift. Oem side skirts interior carbon fiber. Suede interior. Comp Seats with the yellow stitching. I will add a twin turbo kit in 18 to 24 months from now. I would get the eray if i wanted to build a street drag car and or i lived in a part of the country that gets bad weather in the winter.
No hate or shade I just find it interesting a ton of creators make videos and have hardly any miles on them but they give these long in-depth opinions. Say the average person that got the same car you did at the time you did would probably not break even or make money if they drove it even 5k miles a year. Thanks for sharing tho!
You are right, that does happen. I have about 3000 miles on my car, and it's been GREAT so far. I can't speak for others, but I think that is where I differ. They are looking to get money and clicks only, I'm looking to share REAL experiences with people. I don't work for anyone, and most of the others do. They have the car for a few days, and make a claim about it. I own my cars. It's hard to find real people, with real reviews on RUclips. Most are fake and paid for by the company, or like I said...just to get your click.
My name is Mike and I got a 2023 Corvette 2LTZ 51 red missed metallic carbon accent. I love it. I’m adding skirts and a splitter. I’m in Canada. What do you think I

Agree 💯 on everything you’ve said about the Eray vs. Z06
So far I love the Eray. Best $100k I ever spent! And got 67k for my 2021 nonZ51 HTC.

@ thanks bro, but only have the Eray currently. Drove her today up in Canada!
@@adamnarbeaux5898 Rapid blue is the most exotic color on the c8 hands down. Just ahead of even the orange c8.
Same brotha! I will never pay over MSRP. I want even pay MSRP. I usually always buy used with less than 10k miles. Why take the initial hit?

I think you are gonna have a sweet looking Vette soon. Congratulations
They say the Eray will be the next GTR on the streets in a few years as more tuning and testing is done.
Too early to tell how the eRay resale will be. If you keep it long term then resale is a moot point. 2LT is definitely the best Stingray choice!
Lost the patience for bending down to get into a car decades ago.
