I respect traditional Latin mass priests, but I’m sorry… their preaching is so … dry. It’s almost as if they’re not even trying to give a beautiful sermon. Listen to how beautifully Father Mike Schmitz preaches. What a difference! Catholic priests should love to preach. It requires work, lots of work and prayer to write a beautiful sermon.

I get your comment. Score one for the common form. But I don’t like the Protestant-like divisiveness of so many TLM supporters that bring on these comparisons. There are different forms of the Mass that are all valid. And every priest is an individual. And there’s nothing like a good homily from any of the clergy inspired by the scriptures at hand.

You are sure lumping all traditional priests together. Some of them are outstanding and, personally, I don't get a lot out of Fr Schmit. It just goes to show that we have different needs and tastes. To each his own.
