    the nashville edition seems very interesting. I like the concept of having the preamp built I hope more basses have this feature in the future. Just imagining going direct into a mixer or a pc interface and not having to play with any software or dials gives me the warm fuzzies.

      I’m wondering about string spacing. Most “fender guys” go for 19mm on 5 strings, but some basses go as tight as 16mm, and the saddles looked pretty close

      @@bassclef1686 While most of their 5-string models have 18mm string spacing, the canadian-made Super J & Super P have been 19mm.

      Get an ABZ but try not to go nuts with cosmetic options that don't change how the bass sounds or plays. You can keep the price under $4500 if you are careful with how you spec. My problem is their options are so good, of course I'm going to want fancy paint, wenge neck, and a preamp which really adds up.

      Reverb can be your friend. Guitars like this have a small audience. Mostly Periphery fanboys. Most people aren't playing xl multi scale with fanned frets. I scored an immaculate Kiesel Zeus 6 string for $1400 shipped. When new was $2300 based off the documentation Kiesel sent me after running the s/n.

    Beautiful basses, but are we saying you have to have already spent a shed load of money before you are qualified to "appreciate" a limited master build? I think I just lost interest in acquiring any Dingwall bass, really disappointing and surprising attitude.

    So .... To see a complete fender copy from a company like dingwall is a lame move for me. They're the manufacturer with a reputation for innovation and fresh ideas. And they were working five years to design a passive PJ bass with alder and maple neck just to copy fender and take some costumers that buy traditional designs?😂😂😂 and they sell it for 2300 entry level? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

    • @EliasRedbass
      @EliasRedbass 21 час назад +1

      Ain't that a great idea?! Why not just buy a Fender? I find Dingwall to be overrated and too much, people who worships Periphery wants them and they look cheap (most of them). Also, he sounds like he is trying too much to say that they didn't copy Fender or wants to do that, that to copy Fender was the goal. Come up with something new or stay true to yourself, there is nothing wrong with a copy but Dingwall is way more than copying a Fender. But who really cares, we have too much to choose from anyway. ;)

    • @57precision
      @57precision 16 часов назад +1

      They have been making jazz bass copies for at least 20 years, P's for at least 10. Nothing different than what Sadowsky does, which is take a Fender design and hot rod it. I think the 34.25-32" scale is a big upgrade for a P bass. Not so extreme that it makes it uncomfortable to play in the first position and improves the tinny sounding G string of Fender's design.
