  • Growing food in a raised bed container, with no work for years. Got these 3 totes at the thrift store, well, let's just say I went out to do some work in those totes and realized they have been sitting there for years, growing with complete neglect, yet growing on their own with not much help from me. Thought I'd share my gardening day with you today, on this beautiful warm Summer day.

I put together the 5 gallon bucket and solar pump with ball for the hummingbirds today. They love it! My 4 year old totes are producing fabulously. Compost in place is amazing. Thanks Robbie!

Because of this channel I finally have a productive garden this year! You are a God send to folks like me Robbie & Gary, God bless you for sharing your years of experience & knowledge. You both are such an inspiration! I have shared your channel with all my friends & family who have struggled in the past to grow a little food for their families. I have also made several fountains for my hummers to enjoy! Keep the videos coming, I enjoy every one of them so much.

The commercial onion soup mix uses ground celery seed as part of their flavoring I believe.

What is a mushroom plant? Great video…I have 8 totes filled with tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, and lots of herbs growing on my deck…I had success last year following you, so added more this year! Also, I made a solar humming bird fountain…I just got it out..so waiting for the little birds to find it! Lol…also bought the feeders you suggested off eBay and made the nectar from your recipe! So far I have several coming to feed!
Thank you so much for sharing with us!

Robbie please, I don’t know if it’s me, but almost all the pot plants I bought from the store never grows. Is it me or is the store doing something to the plants so we can keep buying plants. Or just desperate to want to eat what I grow.

Hi Robbie! I love your videos, you've inspired me to try container gardening this year since I'm having spinal fusion surgery on July 7th. They're all doing great! But I have a question, we've had a lot of rain here in Bristol, Virginia and my containers are being invaded by mushrooms! I go out every day and place them out, is there something else I can do to totally get rid of these? Thanks for any advice you can share !!!

We have rubber problems here in Moore Oklahoma but no one is allowed to trap them and relocate them. I have tried everything but they big hose underneath my gazebo and deck on my pool. They were going into my vegetable garden but I found a solution that works pretty good and it is putting fork in the ground face up to where they are pointing the fork end to where the rabbits will run into them and deter them from coming into the garden.

WHere do you garden? Your climate looks so garden friendly. I would like to be able to make adjustments for what zone I'm in. I live near Dallas TX and it's so hot here I can't seem to grow anything. It gets cooked by the Sun. I was a Master Gardener when I lived in Michigan, but I'm completely unable to grow any vegetables here in TX. Help!

@@jlseagull2.060 Thank. I planted container tomatoes and peppers in raised containers earlier this year after watching one of these videos and it looks like I might finally have success. Last year I prepared an in ground bed with amended soil, but the rabbits and squirrels got the vegs ahead of me, then the sun cooked the plants.
