RIGHT ON!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! AND THAT ACTUALLY FIXES MY FEG R-9/ P9R's extractor!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! THE R9 has that funky S&W Model 39-59 type safety/firing pin block, but the extractor, barrel, lockup, recoil spring etc, are still very much like a Hi Power MKii or Mkiii with the external extractor. Now the casings come out every time the trigger is pulled, and the gun goes bang. The trigger is awesome on it too, (after I polished some stuff up inside). The reset super stupid short (2mm), with no take up, no overtravel, and you can lay down followup shots super fast and accurately. The barrel locks up super tight, and the gun shoots exactly right where the sights are aimed. $180+ $19 for a magazine + $20 for slide lock pin + $5 for that extractor spring + $11 for a recoil spring (not really needed, but...) and the gun works absolutely great now. Time to order out more magazines, and I have a really nice FEG Hi Power clone on it's way to my FFL. It will get your new springs all the way around. The P35 & CZ75 are both accurate to a fault, soft shooting, comfortable, and they shoots nicer than ANY Glock in any caliber. Glocks are the Bic lighters of handguns. If you need a disposable fire starter, the Bic lighter is the best. If you need a disposable short range hole puncher, the Glock is the best. Glocks are just NOT heirloom quality pieces. Only a trailer trash fool will cherish granddad's old Glock 17. It's not like granddad's Hi Power, Luger, Union Signal 1911, PPKS, S&W 686, H&K P7 or Colt Python. It's more like granddad's old Bic Lighter. After 50 or 60 years, it probably won't work. I am still shooting a 1912 Luger. I don't think 105 year old plastic guns will be safe to shoot, sorry.

I recently learned from trying to make my own videos that a light background looks good to our eyes but actually confuses most cameras. The camera will adjust itself for the light background and the subject matter becomes even darker. +forgottenweapons touched on that in a Q&A video, and he uses grey backgrounds behind guns for that reason. I found that interesting.
I would agree this gentleman knew his stuff .But in the future is there anyway you could get a closer shot with the camera at the smaller parts I couldn’t see any of the small parts though you narrated the whole video and named every part otherwise you did a beautiful job at this video
I got the shooter spring kit. My recoil springs weren't labeled. I would assume the shorter recoil spring is the 17lb and the longer one is 18.5lbs, right? Also if I choose the 17lb recoil spring, would I want the 30lb or the 32lb mainspring?

As it is now, your hands are perfectly exposed, but the gun and it's insides are too dark. By increasing the auto-exposure, you'll be able to see the gun and its insides perfectly exposed.
Hello, This is slightly off topic. Have you guys ever considered making a rubberized cover for the retaining plate to insure no damage to the pistol during dry fire ? I made such a thing out of a rubber washer. The firing pin held it in place during dry fire. Finally, it wore out. I could make a new one pretty easy, but it might be nice to have something that was optimized for this function. I also use #47 rubber O rings over the retaining plate. They don't cushion the hammer fall as much, but they do allow for running the slide without it being pushed off by the ejector when the slide goes back into battery. That's nice when doing malfunction clearing drills. Anyway, I am that fabled person who broke the back out of their MK3 High Power slide by lots of unprotected dry firing. The slide broke out where it is cut for the paddle of the firing pin block. It would no longer hold the firing pin retaining plate. After that interesting process, I started using snap caps, and also protecting the slide and retaining plate with #47 O rings, and the afore mentioned piece of rubber (which looked a lot like a miniature retaining plate). I've never even broken a retaining plate since then. This despite the fact that I've worn the little grooves off the back of the firing pin flange completely, and the front flange groove is nearly gone also. I say this to demonstrate the amount of use this gun has seen. And the pistol still works great, I must say. Pretty amazing. So, that's it. Just a product idea that I think might be nice. How do I know what spring kit to purchase for my HP? Mine was manufactured in the early 50's and has an internal ejector and "thumbprint" on the slide.
A lighter color mat would help to see things. Also a trigger gauge so we could see trigger pull would have been nice. It looks like you have a lot of time into this, and a decent price on the kits.

First: Get your fingers out of the way. Second: Don't show the operation from the blind side of the camera. Third: When attempting to show a closeup, STOP MOVING so the auto-focus on the camera can catch up.
