Zheng Qinwen is not used to Sabalenka's powerful serves and wide-angle lobs. Zheng Qinwen needs to work on the technique of receiving powerful serves. When Federer receives powerful serves, he uses the method of slicing the ball to reduce the opponent's attack power, look for opportunities to launch a counterattack, and directly go to the net to intercept and win.

Last match played until 2:30. After everything that would be 5-6 am for Zheng . No one can recover so fast after a insane match against Vikic in the mid night .
She must also be fatigued after the Olympics. Having said that I don't thing Zheng is ready to beat Aryna yet. She needs to work on aspects of her game as mentioned by other commenters. Aryna is a challenge for anyone at the moment though.

Sabalenka had the same schedule. Played against Alexandrova until 2.30am and then played and won her match two days later.
Sabalenka played the night session (against Alexandrova) on Friday and the day session on Sunday.
Zheng played the night session on Sunday and on Tuesday.

Overpowered from the very start, it was just a bad matchup for zheng on the hardcourt same with iga, sabalenka is just too powerfull they gotta learn how to handle her pace and craft their points better by moving sabalenka a lot more and grinding her down. Easier said than done but in hardcourt thats what they gotta do or get insanely buff and match her pace 😅

Gigantic Lenka is like watching an attractive man play. Serving a from a point much higher than your opponent's is a huge serve advantage, Weighing 100 pounds more is another advantage. One reason i rarely watch women's tennis not enough girly girls, too many manly-girls.

I like her a lot and I agree. But it’s bc she’s still young! She will def get there. She is still growing. She has to work on strategy, being ok w those tricky moves that Vekic loves doing like close to net drop shot, making opponent out of reach. Zheng has to learn that not all win is supreme. She has to set her mind further and if winning this time is not possible learn from the defeat. Power is not everything and if it is not your strong department learn how to overcome it by using a better strategy. Humility is another factor Zheng needs to learn on.
