  • Warwickshire Police explain how they have built on the success of the original Burglary PowerApp in the Solutions Catalogue to help improve the way officers investigate Burglary offences.
You will have seen on the TV and news recently the challenge policing is currently facing across policing in tackling burglary and the impact it has on the wider trust and confidence in UK Policing. In the recent BBC Panorama programme, Andy Cooke - His Majesties Inspector of Constabularies and Fire Services stated that next year a 1/3 of all police resources will have less than 5-years’ service.
That means there is a significant lack of experience in the front line in dealing with burglary, and last year PDS working with Blackwood, Doug who leads on the Burglary portfolio within the NPCC and a technology partner worked to develop a new PowerApp which is freely available to police forces using the PDS M365 environments to help front line users with the knowledge and promotes to support both investigation and support for victims.
As is the ideal approach, the point of the solutions catalogue that the core products, solutions approaches aren’t designed to be a final solution, and we encourage forces to take them further but importantly, as Neil is today, sharing back how they have built on them so other forces can benefit from the development.
Hear about how it supports both the investigating / responding officers and also used to deliver key information to victims.
