- Here we're taking a look at how to make progressive house sounds. With a little bit of sound design and musicality we will utilise the ingredients needed to make a progressive house sound. We will also add an arpeggio to fill up our sound! I will run through how I set up my train of thought so you'll be off in no time making your own progressive house sound

You are hilarious. Totally got me with that frozen video thing.
Hahahahaha. I was hoping I would get someone
Love the way you describe these concepts, definitely can't get this out of a manual. And loving the new graphics at the start too, very pro!
Thanks Karl! I’ve invested in getting better color. Thanks for supporting!
i swear this explanation was perfect, everything was super clear, you did a better job than half my uni lecturers, huge help thanku (:
I’m glad you liked it! Stay tuned for more and ask if things are unclear? X
I liked the early 90's progressive house sound: rhythmically gated vocals (that "groovy beat" sample), dub bass, hard sync leads, percussion loops and piano chord lines
Those were some times huh? What you’re describing is somewhat what my Funk Function remixes for Bedrock sounded like. So what’s your take on melodic techno then? Not quite the same thing huh
First channel to hit the bell. You have my attention sir. Surrounded by gear but needed a poke in the ribs...
Welcome aboard! Come hang out in the chat!
Another superb video! Inspiring as always. The analogies are on point too... "In the same neighbourhood but not the same house". 😄
The best way to visualize a way to hear what’s up I think. See you back in Discord Rich!
I use a DAW but this is still one of my favorite electronic music channels. The analog sound is amazing, the workflow is like a physical instrument comparable to a piano/guitar/cello/whatever and this world is so digital sometimes...that staying grounded and remembering this is all just particles/waves makes DAW music more fun too.
I would love to see a video on how you programme the TB-03.
Noted! It’s been overdue as well. Will work it in somehow
Love your vibe man!!!!
Thanks bro 😎
Superb as always!
Thank you so much 😀
Great walkthrough, inspiring 😁👍🏼
I’m glad you like it!
I love this Kitchen.
Welcome 🙏🏾
lovley tutorial and such inspiration on how u see in things.
Glad you dig it! Thanks for watching!
I love this channel!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Really cool! This helps alot.
Glad it helped!
Wow man! 💥
Glad you liked it!
Just found your channel! Some quality content and information in here mate, thanks for sharing your workflow!
Thanks for being here!
Top videos and content 👌
Glad you like them!
yeah!!! you got the minilogue!!!! Nice choice!
And what a machine it is mate! I’m in love
Exactly! You fill a big gap and learn how to use the machines and how use them together! Keep the good work up! 👊🏻
I'm glad you like it Mats! Haven't seen you on Discord yet. Come hang out brother. It's alive down there!
@@AnalogKitchen will join soon!
Beautiful man beautiful 🙏
Thank you kindly!
I love this video...thanks for making it. Helps me out a lot. Awesome song as well. The way you describe everything was easy to follow as well. Thanks again.
Glad you could take a few things away from it!
@@AnalogKitchen It's already helped me with 3 new songs. Thanks again.
Keep rocking!
That track is very good.
Thank you!
Love dawless jamming...
❤❤💛💛💚💚...
Learned a lot from you buddy...
Glad to hear it! Much more ahead! Cheers for watching!
Was weer zeer leerzaam. Keep up the good work!
Goed te horen dat je het leerzaam vond! Thanks for watching. Much more ahead!
thks great as usual;-)
Thanks again! And welcome to Patreon!
Amazing videos wow
Thanks for watching! Do stay and watch more!!
@@AnalogKitchen Certainly will sir!
Thank you sir
Really intuitive stuff man! In the same neighborhood but not in the same house - love it, great set up aswel.
Glad you enjoyed! It might sound obvious but I think it's the best way of explaining my train of thought!
@@AnalogKitchen Absolutely!
I'm here!!!
yezzir!
Great job, also using the XD will be great to see some of your sound design as you get more used to it.
That's the plan! It looks like a yummy machine so I'm stoked! Will let you know when I got some patches up for grabs!
Dreadbox Typhon also looks promising. Analog mono with stereo fx and a lot of modulation options. Small and portable too.
I seen it. But we need more poly’s though. Someone needs to reissue a Jupiter 8. I’ll be first in line
Love your content! Heads up - the affiliate genius links are not resolving!
Thanks for the heads up!
I was messing with a triple oscillator VST recently and got a really nice psytrance sound and really interesting harmonics when sweeping the filter.
Any chance you would have interest in making a video where you jam on some psytrance and explain a bit about filter harmonics and resonations?
Hey Py! I'll see what I can do.. Glad you're here again!
@@AnalogKitchen I'm usually watching the new content even if I don't comment. And that new synth sounds epic. Moogs and moog-like synths are so iconic.
I got a Minilogue XD a few months ago, within a few weeks I got disappointed with it and it's back in it's box, but your use of it makes me want to bring it into the set-up again.
You might have gone in expecting too much too soon. Like anything in a setup, things need a purpose and have to occupy a set space. That’s why it works in my setup. I can’t say how it would work as a leader sorta like ‘call if in a bar-fight’ kinda way
Thx for the frozen screen trick 😂
Haha. Got you!!
That arp sounds tight.
That XD is a keeper! Thanks for watching
Hello guys ! I m looking for help to connect model D and MPC live 2... thank you so much and thank you for this video 😁🙌🏾
Browse around my channel my friend. There’s a lot that you can find out!
Great content as always! Can you fix the link for the flightcase?
Will do! Thanks for watching!
Fixed!
yeah, Lucien Foort. I heard he's some kind of youtuber now ;-)
At his age? Ooh boy :D
Wait until you get into the custom oscillator section of the Minilogue XD. I have the Korg NTS-1 and it shares a similar yet more simplified architecture.
How is that Korg treating you?
Analog Kitchen so far all I've done with it is loading in custom oscillators and not even used it even after having it for two months! 🙈
How do you keep samples in Key? Just by ear?
Yes. But if you keep your dials straight you can also train yourself to hear when things are off..
About going down on.... hahahaha
I said it and thought... Ooooh...
Love genre. Mostly work with different genres of techno, house. But progressive house is hardest when it comes to bass. Not sure how can I fix this problem by trying and then understanding that it is not progressive house
Try an FM bass and watch the magic happen. Something like what Chromeo would use. Not to plasticky but FM enough for it not to sound exactly like a Moogstyle bass sound
Ah ah the Stop It video. I can now end up buried in a box.
Please don't, I want you to enjoy more vids!
Maybe you could consider ending your show with a piece of live music without talking. You created a nice tune or at least a piece of it, now show it off ;)
That’s a great idea. I’ll look into that
Dude sorry no one in Germany is thinking of Timo Maas if He thinks of progressive house, its more like D-Nox & Beckers
I have mad love for Timo. I hear you though. But I am nostalgic. Thanks for watching though!
@@AnalogKitchen Hahaha Ok :) Thanks for your videos! Great inspiration to me! started dawless with octatrack and beatstep, now using an akai force and a roland tr8 for the drums and some synths through a soundcraft efx
its nice to hear real progressive house :o and not " martin garrix & friends "
You know’a mean! Thanks for checking
those poor instruments cant breathe surrounded by foam, dont overheat them dude!
Thanks for the tip!
We know NOTHING about progressive house! 😆
We don’t? Hahaha
Analog Kitchen not a thing after all these years of making it. ;) I was of course being sarcastic.
