Holy shit bro....now that I know it's not a sin to curse....seriously, I fell in love with Pete tonight. Kudo's to you Pete for talking about your "confession" experience. You need to give that priest a "shoutout" it may get some people to confession. Even Sebastian said he may want to get to a confessional. I loved the non-penance...let God gaze on you. You made it real and it doesn't get much better than that. All this being said I was raised Catholic, one of 12, Irish Catholic family and went to 8 years of Catholic school. I wouldn't change a thing. It was my base but there came a time when I had to let go of it, it was then I started a real relationship with Jesus. This was one of the best casts ever. Thank you.

@@devante2321 Consider this…..offensive language as in bad words isn’t cursing, they are just words. To me cursing is having bad feelings about someone that comes from one’s desire to do them wrong. Something along those lines. I’m not a fan of nasty words. Our human nature is being separate from God (at least we think so) so everything we do from ego is probably a sin. We learn as we go.

I'm glad for change you were able to be the main topic of convo, which was so hilarious, made my day. The Pete & Sebastian Show is my favorite podcast, and the ONLY one deserving of being referred to as "The Cast".

Takes a humble man to confess their sins...even if you messed up a bit. God knows. You have a good heart. I love that you were honest about saying the Lord name sometimes w/passion & expression. You are such a nice guy! Love it! and I love what the Priest told you. I think that was so good what he said. Jesus just wants us to give him some of our time. Love how the Priest put it. That was cool!

When a father goes to confession, statistically in ensures the child will remain Catholic. You going to confession made MY day, because I have been praying for you both and all fathers that are under attack in our culture. The father is the spiritual guardian and leader of the family and is attacked the most.

Even though I am no longer practicing, I was raised Catholic and I'm SMH at how little they know about the confession rules and process. It's hilarious how little they know.
Guys: confession is sacred and a priest cannot break that seal of secrecy by telling your parents, spouse, etc.
Depends where you are. Several states in my country (Australia) have recently passed laws which mandates that all priests must report allegations of sexual abuse otherwise they face a jail sentence. In this case, State legislation overrules Canon law.
@@Dr_KAP wow! Thank you for the info. I stand corrected. I actually think it's good because victims have often suffered not knowing where to turn for help and often without any justice. Or worse, no consequences for the predators of sexual assault.

My father in heaven always sends us the perfect person to help us to know and have a relationship with Jesus. Your about to be reborn and enter and have a relationship with Jesus. Pete take 5 minutes be still and talk to God like you do with Sebastian open and honest it doesn't have to be a formal prayer . Pete you allow God in you will begin to be more blessed and you will start to feel A peace and you will start to notice. Gods Grace
