This was supposed to be uploaded 2 days ago but it got hold back due to my homework :(
Anyways this isn’t really great as I can definitely made it better but I had to rush it because I’m having an exam next week and I need to revise for it :’D

So, the closest thing I can find about the white flower in his face are carnation. I don't know if that's the right flower or not though-But if it is, white carnation symbolize purity and good luck. Give that flower as a gift to someone who's graduating _or_ embarking a new adventure in their life as a gesture of praying them good luck. I feel like that's pretty suitable for Grian. I would say his past was pretty... unlucky. Unlucky might be an understatement - but in any case, bad omen follows him around. The lore literally didn't give this man a break. Poor pesky bird:( He started a new life on Hermitcraft, fresh and new breath of air. New people that didn't know his past, a kind community he wouldn't hesitate to call a family. Although i can't describe how the pure part would also fit him...
It's like, it fit. But I can't exactly put my word on _why._ I think Grian was indeed a pure player, I also saw many interpretation where the watcher also represents “corrupt”
Maybe the purity part is also a callback to Grian lamenting about his past life. There _is_ a flower that is supposed to continue the line “Becoming ghost to dream of .... ” But either it's also carnation or not is still debated until you confirm it. Because I see another flower in the video, one of them is Lily of the valley, (Omori fans be shaking right now) we'll get to them later.
The other candidate for the flower on Grian's face is chrysanthemum flower, which represents purity, honesty, and loyalty. People on Japan also used the flower for mourning or grief so there's that. It's fitting for Grian's grief about his old life. Also because he lived in Japan before. We also need to remember Grian is pretty loyal himself.
Maybe the flower that was supposed to complete that sentence was meant to be carnation then? So the lyrics will be “Becoming ghost to dream of *purity”* dream are often metaphor for the past. his *pure* past life. Current Grian has a purple stain in his face, representing that he was stained by the watcher.
Lily of the valley was known to cast off evil spirit, a promise of protection. This flower appear when Grian first met Xisuma. The one promising him protection, *home.* There's also what seems to be calla lily flower, it means resurrection and rebirth, also a gesture or expression of sympathy. This flower best described Xisuma and Grian's fateful day meeting with each other, X inviting Grian to join his server. Or at least joined the hermit.
I’m feeling sick rn so seeing this comment definitely put a smile on my face, knowing someone is actually theorizing my “lore” vids (even tho it’s really messy and not in order lol)
In the vid, the flower I used was the white chrysanthemum. I used that flower as a meaning to describe him grieving his old life, his old friends. And the flowers on his face are also white chrysanthemum, it was meant to explain him grieving his old self, but he has accepted his fate and moved on to a new era.
I completely ignore the whole: “purity, loyalty stuff” lol as I was mainly trying to find a flower that would best describe his past life.
Now there were no carnation flower nor lily of the valley, I was a bit confused when you mentioned the lily of the valley but I think I know which scene you were talking about. Although I’ve never thought of that whole protection charm but I’m starting to quite like it, same goes for calla lily. The carnation flower though.. I’d think his past life is pretty, neat. (let’s just completely ignore yhs/ts lore /hj) Aside his problems with the watchers, he still got his friends’ back and it was the only place he could call home. Though I could see why you’d think his past life was awful, bro literally has the bad omen effect permanently. And yeah, that purity is a no.
Also a fact, you may have realized there’s a little bit of purple stain on Martyn too, it was to show that he’s been involved with the watchers as well, but not TOO heavily unlike Grian. But Martyn’s life series pov bout to prove me wrong at any moments now. There are also stain on the hermits to represents that Grian may have potentially put an impact on the server. Anyways, I just thought that was a fun easter egg.

I guess we could count the lily as an unintentional symbolism that accidentally fit🤣 but about the purple stain, and how some of it was splattered on the Hermits too is such a clever thing!
Because not only the soul deal Mumbo and Grian made back in season 6 ought to give him _some_ side effect, but also because Scar had unintentionally become the “Favourites” of the Watcher. Either that's because of Grian or not. Scar is the only one able to log off from the server, Grian let him have another task and get free from consequences, people _help_ his task, yet his task from that point on made him isolated, hated. As if the Watcher prepare him to go down a path where he has *nothing* to loose. (A reminder most of the winner, excluding Scott, win because they have *nothing* to loose.)
We also need to take account into the fact Grian unintentionally help Scar win by taking so many health from Gem, inevitably nerfing her.
Not forgetting this bit in season 10 where Scar lamented about the fact he wanted to fish but can't because he don't have a fishing rod, and then, in the next second Grian fished out a fishing rod. It didn't even went to him, it _jump_ right at Scar! As if the universe is saying “Scar may fish.” And you know who else that in lore has power to control the Universe
