I bought Ilumiglo guages for my Gen1 in 2010, truth is I had to buy them a second time. They did not required needle removal but it was a pain to fit them. First time I punctured one of the face plates. They came with power supply and contains some kind of glowing liquid. But I still have them fitted, works great. Sorry for long comment, but I fitted them for the exact same reason - To see "Hayabusa" when going full throttle 👍 I forgot, great video!
I personally get a bit tickled the fact your RPM meter shows as is slightly pushed. I guess everything else is deeply worth. Watchout on low speed - I learned lesson LOL
Hey there. I never replaced the trim piece but I believe it would be best to separate the speedometer like I did in the video and then remove the trim. This way you're not risking of something breaking off and falling in there. Hope this helps you.
I watch the car channel Vehcor, when working on cars he calls gloves "Bitch Mittens".😁 Great job on the faceplate change! I own a yellow 2001 Suzuki GSXR 1000. Hello from Phoenix Arizona❗🔥
@@pinball541 hello Phoenix Arizona!!!!! Thank you very much! Nice bike you got there, I used to have a red 2002 GSX-R 1000 it's the same body style as yours! Timeless machine 👍
Absolutely worth it! They should do it at the factory.
I know right? It makes it look so much better
