- While bindings DO have adjustability to them, they only go so far. On top of that the sizing isn't standard from company to company. Matt shows you how to get the right size no matter what bindings you are buying.

Hi thx for your info, may I ask a question, I bought a union binding L size 10.5+, my 32 boot is US10, the binding toe is very little bit bigger than the board, is there any problem for my ride? Thx for your answer 😊
Yeah, in all honesty you should have the Mediums, they will fit your boots and board lot better.
I see a lot of companies advertise 10+ etc but they don’t say max sizes. Example.. will a 15 fit in a large Union Atlas ? Or what brands can we use ( I know flow and Union Force )
Yeah, with those size 14 and bigger boots it really depends on the overall foot print of the boot as to which bindings it will fit in. And then its actually more about being able to center up your foot on the board properly than anything. I always say to go with a binding that has an adjustable heelloop like Union or Ride so you can drop the heel back all the way and then still have the option to move the disc forward and backward if need be. Just make sure that it is not a mini-disc binding that will only mount on 4x2 like the Ultra or Strata.
Hey! Thanks for the Video! I have a size 13 boot (from Salomon, like my Bindings and Board ) that should fit my L Binding like Salomon shows in their sizing charts. The heel and Toes are hanging like 1.5-2 cms from the binding. First question: is this good enough to ride or do I need bigger bindings?
The second question is if I can ride the board of the boots are hanging off the board for also maybe a bit more than a cm. I already have the highest angle with 16 and the widest stance. The board is a 162 wide but „only“ 27.1 cm wide. Not really experienced as you can maybe tell😅
27.1 is PLENTY wide for your boot. Honestly most "wide" boards for size 13+ start around the 26 range. To get good pressure on your edges you NEED your toes and heels hanging off the board a bit. It sounds like you may need to do a little adjusting to get your foot centered up on the board. Check out this video to see if you have everything adjusted properly. ruclips.net/video/5pcGsPgqWYY/видео.html
@@PeterGlennSports thanks man! Great advice and great relief. I’ll go watch the video! But the boot will hang over the board in any angle I had so the question is just to get the right angle to not catch an edge so I will fall anytime I want to turn 😅
Can I have bindings that only go up to size 10 and wear size 11 boots. I’m size 10 right now but I don’t want to get new bindings when my foot gets bigger
Most likely the bindings won’t fit properly if your foot grows. Your best bet is to find a pair of bindings that has a different size range that includes 10 and 11.
I just got my snowboard gear today and was wondering if a size large snowboard binding is okay for a size 10 boot. Or should I return and get a medium size binding
It depends on the specific bindings and their size range. Just like Matt said in the video, match the binding size range up with your boot size.
great videos! How important is it that bindings have highbacks that rotate?
It’s not, some people like to rotate their highbacks to match with the heel edge but I’ve ride with and without them rotated and it didn’t feel much different
Depends, if you run a lot of angle (particularly on your front foot, like 24-30) and the high back itself is fairly flat (think malavita, for example) you should rotate the high back. A lot of bindings such as Now/jones and Flow don’t have rotatable high backs but the high back wraps around the boot enough to not need it
@@banzaigtti I can't help but imagine you meant to post that as a comment on the video rather than a reply to another comment.

OK I have a question! How to figure out what size binding is if you have bindings without the box? :)
You will have to scour the binding for some kind of marking that tells you what size they are. Most of the time it’s on the bottom of the baseplate or sometimes the straps.
Thanks for the info. Is it ok to purchase bindings based off Mondo sizing?? I’m currently shopping for boots but bought Union strata bindings and a board already (backwards I know) . I’ve had 19 year old 32 boots that were too tight. My mondo size is 26.7 and shoe size is 10.5-11. According to mondo I’m a medium binding and like a 9 boot. Is this something to be considered ?
I would definitely figure out exactly what size boot you are first. Especially if you are on the verge of 10.5 and 11 because those are 2 different size union bindings. If you end up being a US 11 Mediums might fit ok, but you will get a better fit out of Larges.
@@PeterGlennSports thanks for the prompt response! In your experience , has using Mondo sizing been accurate for boots? It’s all I really have to go off right now cuz I’m recovering from surgery and can’t get into a place to be properly fitted yet haha.
@@duanenorwood7043 honestly I can’t say. Never used it, just always based things off of my US foot size
