@BananaLlama Honestly no, I rarely see people complimenting her unless it's her own solo, she is the favorite in the show but not in the fandom. People compare her to others and say "Oh! Well Brynn and Kalani have better technique" and etc. She doesn't get enough credit from the fandom, I love Mackenzie more and I never favored Maddie but if we're talking about the fandom then she's underrated. Just because she's the favorite doesn't make her overrated

See why did Abby not give her more choreo like this? That was one of the only times she did an elbow stand in one of her solos

I thought that this solo was gorgeous. her turns were good, the choreography in general was good, the costume is stunning, and she looked pretty. I think that this solo is very underrated.

I like this choreo but she keeps doing step after step after step. I think the Joffrey ballet school was right when they said she needs a moment to pause.

maddie has a stage presence they can’t be matched, but this was not a good performance. typically Abby only gives her soloists steps they can do well. maddie fell out of all her turns. she went for a triple attitude turn into a leg catch hold turn and rolled to the floor and it was sloppy. she fell out of it and it looked like she never practiced it. i’m not sure why abby gave her such a difficulty turn combo when she never has been able to do it. her arabesque soto leap is usually a lot higher. i’m thinking the floor was slippery or she was super nervous because this was bad compared to what she can actually do
I think she was super nervous, when she is nervous she falls a lot of her turns, in the show she did. I knew something was wrong in the lasts set of turns it was really noticeable
maddie was never good at attitude turns, she can't nail a triple if not a double, you can see in her solo be anything on dance moms she didn't nail the triple attitude turn. she doesn't look comfortable in them even when she did a double. maybe even a single.
the steps abby gave her was real hard, i think abby did her dirty or maybe abby really wants her fellow judges to see her skills even tho its obvious maddie is nervous and rushing

Unpopular opinion: Madide isn’t the best dancer, the others like Asia, Kalani etc. I don’t like her personality and the same face and movement’s
Very few people called her the best dancer though.
She was one of the best from the ALDC though. The best from ALDC were Maddie and Chloe.
They’re not as good technique wise as students from better studios, students like Kalani and Brynn, but they have their own charm to them.
I’d argue that Maddie was a stronger dancer than Asia though - she was much more versatile and had better technique.
But in the end, they’re entirely different dancers and it’s unfair to compare them. Maddie’s more of a performer than a technical dancer, and she was always better at dances with a lot of storytelling and emotional appeal. She would’ve been much better had she trained y a different studio - all of the ALDC girls would’ve.
i feel like all three of them are on the same level; maddie has decent emotion and technique but still few issues, however kalani has amazing emotion and technique but i feel like she didn't have the best skill level; but asia had amazing facials/energy and a good skill level but technically she was.. not great
most of the girls have one thing lacking.
