    This is a review of the Lumie Bodyclock Luxe 750D, it provides both sunrises and sunsets and is clinically proven to help people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
    It's an interesting product with built in speaker and DAB radio, but are those additions as good as the actual light itself?
    You can check out the product on Amazon here: amzn.to/2PBXDDy
    However you might want to consider the cheaper glow 150 instead: amzn.to/2LP8FnP

    Have been debating buying this for the last month or so and nearly did so last night - but I'm so glad I stumbled across this review. Found this really helpful and having watched your video have decided that it just isn't worth the £200 price tag. Very informative and clear, thank you.

    Thanks Christopher for your review - gave me good food for thought. Only feedback for you would be to perhaps demonstrate whilst you explain the pros and cons - otherwise it was really well presented! I was considering getting this model as they've got a sale on at the minute 50% off a refurbished one but I can't justify it and your review has helped me to avoid doing my usual buy first, think later! Thank you again!

      Thanks for your comment, I'm really glad you found the video useful, and equally, thank you for subscribing! Appreciate your feedback too, it's really good to hear that kind of information, and I'm certainly looking into improving demonstration sections.
      In terms of your purchase, I do think the cheaper Lumie lights do provide the same benefits, and if you buy a nice DAB radio to go alongside it - such as one by Revo - I don't even think you'll have spent much more money - the outcome will be much better too.
      Thanks again!

    Just bought the 150. Completely agree with everything you said. You get better speakers from a kids toy than you do with a £100 alarm clock

    Hi, thanks for a great video! We were just about to buy this one, but are not so sure anymore after watching your video. Do you have an alternative thzt you recommend? We've read a lot about the Philips ones for example...
    Thanks a million in advance!

    I totally agree with your review. I am mostly disappointed with the speaker quality and yes it is complicated to use - not intuitive with the same button/knobs being used for different function and having to set it up manually from scratch if unplugged. I do love the actual light functions, and the minimal design of the lamp, which may account for the complexity of the programming.

      Completely agree with you, the design and light functions are great, if only it wasn't so complex and the sound quality so rubbish.

    Hi there, really good review, thank you! would you be able to recommend a SAD helping bodyclock that does have better sound?

    • @HamerReviews

      I haven't found any good ones with built in sound if I'm honest with you... Sorry, realise that's not the answer you were looking for.. have you found any yourself yet?

    First, the right volume button stopped working properly (when it happened, I was completely unable to decrease or increase intensity of the light), now the left volume button is malfunctioning. SO, 750DAB was still under warrant (1 month left), I've sent it to UK, but Lumie said they won't pay for customs (which I was not aware of, no matter how ridiculous it sounds, I totally for got about the fact UK is not in EU now). So, I immediately cancelled the shipment. And then they said, yes, we will pay when the package was already going back ! Imagine that !
    Going back to the construction. I'm not sure who was designing this device, but the engineer responsible for this 'miracle' had to miss a few lessons during his studies. Main parts were glued with silicon like lamp part and the bottom part ! Parts made from some kind of gray material on the back and front side also are glued with silicon. Main buttons also :-)
    Cables connecting the antenna and piezo buzzer are so short that it is difficult to disconnect parts. In addition, I lost one screw because it landed in the hole inside the lamp and attached there to the speaker, I guess :D I tried many times but seems magnet is quite strong (I don't want to remove the silicon between lamp and bottom part, too much of work).
    I've added few more ogg files for eg Sunrise on the attached inside card, but to make it possible you have to update manually the txt file for each ogg file separaely !
    In the end I fixed damaged buttons but a lot of 'fun' was not avoided, unfortunately.
    Totally not recommend !

      I’d consider a used Withings aura which is still better than this to be honest

    My speakers on my 750D sound really good, not tinny at all. Maybe you got a bad one.

      Everyone’s experiences are different, I have actually heard two separate versions as my cousin has one, and found the sound lacklustre on both. Given the cost, I expected more but that doesn’t mean you can’t like yours 🙂

    • @HamerReviews
      @HamerReviews  10 месяцев назад +1

      Fair enough. A review is always subjective and for me, subjectively the speakers are crap. The Lumie range more generally is fine in terms of its lighting features but I couldn’t get past the price and poor sound quality 🤷‍♂️

    • @Phoenix-ov5gg
      @Phoenix-ov5gg 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@HamerReviewsI don’t really care about the sound to be fair, the light feature is more important. This one has extra blue light in mornings and less in the evening, an important feature for stimulating wakefulness and blocking it at night.
      I would have got the Phillips for the extra smartphone features but they had no Black Friday discount and £250 was a bit too much for me to spend on this…
