Has someone told them the other, non-US MREs weren't the complete thing when the United States one was?
Also, the US Pepperoni pizza is widely regarded as the best of the bunch. The british cold weather rations are also pretty good but they are a whole days meal, not just one single meal.
As a former US Marine... someone needs to tell Brian and Jason about the fun things that can be done with MRE heaters... but it can be dangerous so i recommend the designated adults research and test first.
*leans in and whispers to adults* pressure bombs
Nobody:
Russians: Komrade you starvin? Kome eat brick and vodka with us under fire where it is warmth.
😐
In Russia, military rations eat you.
As someone who has survived 14 days on nothing but those emergency rations... They are GOOOOOOD
This is everything I wanted. Love seeing Jason enjoying himself!
I’ve had MRE from a lot of countries and time periods and I can tell you hands down right now, the Australian franks in spaghetti sauce are the best MRE ever made.
I grew up next to an Army logistics base is Australia, and I can tell you now, we have hands down, some of the best MREs, or CR1M as we call them I'm pretty sure, known to man
The thing about sesame oil is that a little goes a long way. You normally shouldn't add too much of it when cooking or it will overwhelm the other flavours.
>around the world
>Visit their own country, two of their nearest countries, the country their country came from, and korea.
Always love getting MREs from my local Army Navy Store, they're so good!
Man, you guys are really keeping it cutting edge with all these Chubby Checker references 😂😂
Ok when are we gonna get Steve1989 on here
you guys should try the french rations there the best so good they where a bit of currency in yugoslavia you could use a french ration to buy 3 american ration or 5 spanish ones also if you get french rations from the 50s they should have either half a liter of wine or liter of beer or a quarter of liter of eau de vie (booze) and a pack of cigarette (gauloise caporal)
These episodes feel very wholesome in a way.. I enjoy them lots. Keep em up.
Throwback to the burger episode where Brian was the skeptical one
On this day, at this time, some people were rioting inside the US Capitol building, some people were here, watching this.
I don’t have time to riot, I have this to watch
We made the right choice.
I mean the entire population doesn't live near the capitol
@@dylanzrim3635 As far as I know, it did. I believe the shot came from capitol police
@@joeyk3134 haha I live in Canada 😂
Seeing y’all enjoy Combos makes me feel as if I was too harsh on them. My friends and I have always joked that they were dog treats haha. I’ll have to try them again.
The way they turn their noses at the jalapeno spread makes me laugh. That was one of the most sought after items in MREs in the 2010s in my unit.
Japanese emergency rations for natural disasters are pretty good, had a friend send me some a couple years ago, they are super hard to get ahold of though.
I really do hope this becomes a series. Probably a summary, truncated series, because numerous channels have made months of content out of the range of MREs available, and keep going - but I'm really curious to figure out what Brian thinks has a TWISTY flavor and what doesn't. (For budget: Lithuanian, at least before 2020. Cheap and not bad at all, though Jason may shy away from certain bits.) I'd love to see some Japanese and 24-hour Russian packs too (go for the шпик - unheated if you dare!).
I was hoping for fire when they brought up Hydrogen. Just to see if there was enough gas for a flame.
5:21
Brian: mocks Jason about not liking the ingredients but liking the combination.
Also Brian: tries anything fruity in the cocktail episodes *surprised pikachu face*
Pro life tip:
Read all the instructions steps befores starting to follow the instructions step by step.
Honestly like these MRE episodes quite a bit. Would be great if you guys could dedicated entire episodes to MREs from a single country. A full episode on french mres (which are famous for being the best) would be awesome
“Would you consume the bones?” Both: “YES”
Love watching you eat food and MRE’s are soo good
That was a russian emergency ration not an MRE. Basiclly thats a your plane was shot down and have shit else to eat heres some calories so you can keep moving
The way that the heat bag cooked the American MRE was incredible! Great video guys!
princess toadstool is peach, did you mean toadette?
Can’t wait to see a “so we were sent over 1,000 mre types to try...” episode
So let me get this straight: Brian has no problems with eating FIFTY YEAR OLD MREs but packaged fruit is too disgusting for him.
Did... did I get that right?
Brian hates fruit
Brian is to fruit what Jason is to Chocolate
24:00 yooooo the rhythm!
Just for everyone else THE RAYCONS ARE NOT COMPARABLE they are okay if you aren’t an audiophile but there are better cheaper options
If you want a review DANKPODS had a episode titled “I bought RAYCONS”
Canadian here, grew up in Cadets (similar to JROTC), so we had MRE's there. When I heard "Sliced Pears Dessert" my mouth started watering like crazy! Oh how I loved those. hahaha!
This two guys are playing with their foods
You heathens. 1) the gas in the MRE heater is flammable, use the matches to have fun. B) you need to heat up the mre cheese with the heater as well, so you don't get yellow spackle. 4) murphy is eating combos while making a DIY Combo of the cheese paste and crackers.
Good video guys. But seriously try the above mentioned stuff.
in mother russia rations bar you.
paging Taras!
Watching these guys fumble around an MRE is the best part of my day. Love it.
Markeplier?
0:09-0:33. A nice little segment for Halloween is it not? Also i love that look on his face at 0:16, LoL
these MRE mukbangs are getting out of hand...
That mre menu honestly looks amazing.... Little tip is to mead the cheese or peanut butter (or toss in the heater), take the heating element out and put it and the meal in at the same time then add water. Also if you mix and match things together they become much better.
These guys are having a five star michilien meal while im waiting for my mom to finish cooking dinner, RESPECT TO YOU GOOD SIR'S RESPECT.
By the way that camera crew must have been starving when they watch them both eat, hope they got a lunch break after this was recorded either way great video guys keep up the ggod work.
Jason's food preferences are not only entertaining but highly relatable. Marry me, Jason. I'm in Canada, and we have lots of canned food!
11:00 We now know what Jason and Brian must make a video on in the future: Lighting an MRE heating bag to see what happens.
I think I've learned from this episode that Jason is my spirit animal. All of his responses to the food seem identical to what my own would be.
Pro tip from a Canadian veteran with the IMP fruit:
Rip up half your bread, mix it in with the coffee creamer and sugar packet in the bag with the fruit. Peaches are the best for it, but you get kind of a pie in a bag.
20:11 Sounds like Jason is calling out the target range in his Klingon Battlecruiser.
7:00 when your homie tells you to smell his bunk weed. 😂
On the next Modern Rouge Jason gives Brian a haircut with homemade scissors
The flameless heater was developed at the University of Cincinnati, sadly after I left the service.
We used to place the pouches on either the manifold or the block of vehicles. Otherwise you were stuck with the horribly inefficient fuel tabs.
i love the jazz in the background... dope
14:48 I thought this was Brian saying "wow" from the audio of the clip before it, but turns out it's Jason
Should try Norwegian mre, they are so good the company that makes them makes a regular version for civilians that a lot of Norwegians take with them on hiking trips😁
Brazilian MREs are amazing, trust me.
Meat stew with spaghetti, Feijoada, Baião de Dois (Rice, beans and jerked beef), and Skittles!
1:18 "which korea"
lol, the one with FOOD
This video is Brian playing with his food, making a child's art piece on his plate while Murphy just tried to eat things
You should try making "Ranger pudding".
Simply mix the following parts of the MRE:
Peanut butter
Chocolate powder
Coffee powder
Sugar
Mix with some hot water if you want a less dense texture.
