Some hopefully helpful tips please don’t think this is me being rude : A snow foams job is as a pre clean to loosen dirt before a 2 bucket contact wash, snow foam isn’t designed to clean a bike without a contact wash too! - most snow foams you mix 300ml ish of foam with 700ml of water in the bottle before connecting to your pressure washer :)
ritchsuk that’s ok bud I was just following these instructions which it mixes as it runs with the mixer bottle and this was not the pre wash one It still came up ok but will rub over next time Just wanted to see if it worked as it says! It’s ok but does need a rub over Thanks for watching bud and your comment
It's great fun the snow foam but I've found that tfr is easily the most powerful but at the same time a bit dangerous on the bike as it's so strong. Being careful though it's good if used sensibly.
I thought everyone knew snow foaming is just a way to apply shampoo to your car/bike and you still need to clean it, just not with a sponge. Snowfoam is diluted shampoo, so buy shampoo instead. And don't use a pressure washer around your wheel bearing or on your chain, you'll wash the grease out. Thanks for the video and love your bike.
It's a pre clean you would snow foam your car or bike leave until most of it as dripped off then Rinse it all off removing dirt and helping break it down and lift it off the bike. foam it again and get scrubbing then rinse and dry
I bought a Muc-Off power washer as it's specifically designed for washing motorbikes. It has a lower power so as you don't damage your bike. I use the snow foam too but I find it doesn't matter which snow foam you use, you still need to take a sponge or micro fibre cloth to it.
As a ex pro car/bike valeter, use TFR ( TRAFFIC FILM REMOVER ) on wheels only no need to rub or scrub, if you have tarmac splatters on wheels use TNG ( TAR AND GLUE REMOVER ) leave on wheels for around 5 minutes then power wash off with hot water, great result and will cost you way less than the snow foam.
@Harry Walsh No mate it has to be sprayed on with a spray bottle don't dilute, best TFR and T&G is Auto Glym, you could buy cheap crap from B&Q but, you end up with shadows on your wheels that will result in dull rims...Hope this helps mate
I used to have a Tiger XCx and loved it. I also think the best accessory I ever bought for it was the Madstad screen and see you've got one as well. What are your thoughts about the screen?
To be honest It was amazing and one of the best for all round wind protection Love it and the tiger Had a few and they are good all round bikes Theres a few more tiger videos on my channel worth a view Thanks for watching
I spray the wheels and casings with muk off and then snow foam and rinse off. I think the snow foam is best at getting off worst of dirt and grit and reduces the chance of scratching paint work when sponging off remaining dirt with car shampoo. Im a bit of an OCD bike cleaner!!!
That makes sense too They do a pet wash but I thought I’d give it a go But see you right with getting the heavy stuff off first Thanks for watching bud
You can buy a sub meter, if you use a lot of garden outside water and it doesn't go down the drains , well you tell them it doesn't you don't have to pay for the waste It saves you a little and you can buy them off e bay bud
When u use a jet wash on a bike, u should always reduce the pressure of the water, if u have a machine with adjustable pressure then u can reduce it that way, failing that...stand further back so that ur reducing the water pressure....if ur a little bit wary of this way then u can wrap up ur electronic bits n bobs..... I have had no problems over the years..(professional auto detailer..... with most of my work on motorcycles)
Gren Phelps yes bud I have the full control k5 so can adjust the pressure from the handle And I have heard it can cause damage so was aware to not over do it Have to say it was fun but like in my detailing videos I have on my channel of my B king and fjr can’t beat a bucket of water lol Thanks for watching Many more videos on my channel well worth a watch Mark
I have never used a power washer on my bikes.... I prefer to use the bucket method and some cheap car shampoo. I do use snow foam on my cars as a pre-wash and dilute 2 parts water to one foam ... interesting trial though to see the affects of just foaming the bike
Nice video. I actually washed a motorcycle for the 1st time yesterday. It was a Yamaha MT07. Took me almost 2 hours. Cleaning the wheels properly with different products and brushes (the chain gets in the way) then using a detail brush and a mitt on the rest. Then drying with a towel and compressed air. Then protecting the plastics. Whats your opinion about the ProKleen products?
I used them and are good , I've used muk off too video on here to detail my b king and fjr and to be honest it done a really good job Most cleaning products on the market today work well with a little bit of work Enjoy cleaning bud and stay safe Loads more videos on my channel for you to enjoy

Hiya Mark hows it going? Mark, can I asked you a quick question, just bought a Honda cb125f 15 plate fuel injection last weekend. Very low mileage serviced every 6 months! I noticed once it gets nice and hot, the tick over creeps up. Sometimes its as high as 3000rpm and wont drop off. I given it a good looking over and cant find fault. You come across this before? Cheers matey
barrados101 not often on a FI system It maybe faulty of leaking as in sucking the n air ! Check system is nice and tight and air flow is ok If all ok you may need to get it service or replace the injection as you can’t have it revving up that high as when in gear it will keep you going as your finding now Just make sure the cables as ok and wd40 the point that they go onto the system as the can rust up and become stuck so no closing ! Worth a look
@@marksavage hiya mark, just a quick update, I tracked the problem down to the throttle position sensor, and the engine oil temperature sensor. So once replaced I hoping its all good to go :) thanks again matey.

to be honest you can jet wash any bike just try not to spray into the engine parts with full on jet! do the wheels, chain and fairings engine case just not top end bud or clocks , just shower over them and sponge it will be fine then
