My mom said it’s like there’s a human under some gravel and you’re uncovering them! Perfect description, you have a gift from God.
A gift from years and years of practice actually
@@mushmore6965 why do bums like you have to always correct compliments or anything. just fucking let others compliment talent.
god you piss me off
@@mushmore6965 Yes, I definitely agree.
@@mushmore6965 oh really did he say that in one of his videos? I didn't know...
@@bucketheadfacts3501 I mean he didn’t necessarily have to say it, but it’s a fact that every accomplished artist need to practice and practice to have their works so flawless!
Awesome.
Please do more dark skin.
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning! You make it look so easy, but I know from personal experience it takes a LOT of practice to get to your level and make it look effortless. Truly incredible to watch.
This drawing reminds me a bit of the character Shakäste from Critical Role. Very nice work!
I love that you actually want to produce art. Your work is stunning. I don't get much out of hyper realism. To me if I wanted a photo I'd use my camera. But real art allows the viewers brain to take over. Bravo !
I agree!
This is awesome, so painterly - beautifully done. I really love this channel and seeing your work and your process, so inspiring! :)
I’m new here and not even an artist but it seemed like magic watching you effortlessly coax that man’s face out of the blank canvas with a relaxed and casual hand that new exactly where to put every single stroke! Bravo!!! 👏🏽 🎉
Wow . Absolutely gobsmacked . That's amazing to watch happen in real time . Different people have different skills .my hat goes off to you sir .
This is incredibly awesome! Just wonderful! You are so unbelievably talented!

8:50 it’s called “magic”
First of all I am your biggest fan I learned so much from you with that being said can you please do a self-portrait I would love to see how you would go about that
Beautiful, very talented
GREAT JOB. JUSH!!!!
Stunning
I agree really good. I need to practice darker skin 2
I stayed focused on the wrong spot I only realize it when I saw the perfect face of an old man. Wow you're amazing☺️ Keep it up💜
I always have an easier time doing deeper skintones. More pigment means it's easier for me to tell the values. I also love the reflective quality of deep skintones.
Wonderful, very inspiring
Really interesting approach! Great job:-)
I am sooo impressed with the AWE of your brilliant talent..you need to start selling or auctioning your work...I would feel so honored to be able to display your work in my home..txs for sharing your gift from God🙏🏿🙏🏿
stunning !
Grandísimo trabajo
yoooo, this so coooll! 🔥🔥
John this is very interesting... I would request for more.... I see that you have a practiced hand so you go by proportions and placement in a manner of sort of scribbling with charcoal... And soft pastels in here..
Would you mind explaining the length of charcoal or soft pastels that you use... Creation of angles etc in some tutorial?
By the way, this calls for a series... Maybe you could even go to various kinds of skins with modifications..
Beautiful!
Incredible!
Magnifique!😍😍😍😍
Amazing !!!
¡Fantástico!
Beautiful work...❤
Beautiful

Are you using a sketch paper or what do you like to use for these kind of sketches? Your work is amazing! I just found you on RUclips and I’m enjoying your work and videos a lot!
Bellisimo
Lindoooo
that mind blowing moment when the face pops up🤯
could you do a video doing a more light skin with pastel and charcoal?
Nice👊👊
❤
Please do JFK and RFK?
Also are those oil pastels or chalky like the charcoal sticks?
Great!!!!! That was fun.
What type of paper do you use?
A minute and 20 in and the man’s already got a face. What in the world
do you have a reference photo or an idea of what it will look like in the end?
Have u ever done a digital charcoal drawing?
May I ask what your surface is? What paper and GSM?
Hello. What kind of artstyle is this? Thank you for answering
you can use coffee powder right?
Why do you use your hand to blend and not a nice soft brush?
pogg
Mad Привет! Подскажи пожалуйста чем закрепляешь пастель по окончании работы?
Pastel gang rise up
O my god
Wow, I’d love to buy this off you for my home! Is that a possibility??
I think Josh has an online shop - I've seen his work there - look in the description and you will find it there! I agree, it's SO beautiful 👍🐝
@@artbydrbee Ok great, thanks a lot for your help, hope to see it on there 🤞👍
@@phillipjohnson3367 No worries Phillip! Sometimes it takes a bit of time for them to put into their online shop though (either as an original or as a print) - hopefully Josh sees this query and can clarify this for you! 😃👍🐝
Hi Phillip, thank you for the support and the interest in my work. I’ve just made this piece available on shop.

Can we not see your reference photo or your model.... as you see him?
I don't know what allows your brain to do that but i sure wish mine would allow me to do that. I'm not knowledgable about art but I'm pretty much thinking that art cannot be learned, it's more of a talent. I can barely draw a stick person.
