Affinity Designer Tutorial - Quick Fix - Easily Create a Dotted Effect for a Skyline

- This quick video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru.com explains the stops to create a dotted effect in Affinity Designer
As Affinity Designer has no build-in Halftone functionality, I place the dots manually using nudge distance and cursor keys [and a whole lot of artistic freedom] to create a skyline shape.
Most of it can be created with other software tools such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.

The nudge!! Great idea. I tried with a grid, but this is way easier. Thanks a million for posting an excellent solution to this puzzle.
Glad it helped!
Excellent work.
Thank you!
Great job
Thanks... It's still a fiddly hack... but it works and I got it done in ~10minutes.
[Making, editing, and narrating the video... mmmmh... that's a different story.]
Creative solution to a cool effect. But does seem a bit labour intensive.
Yes... it's fiddly... but the best hack I could come up with [so far] :)
Create a circle. Ctrl J. Using Transform tool move the copied by its its Diameter and enter 90% in the W/H and then press CTRL J. I tried this . Need to fiddle with the move distance and the percent W/H.
I tried the ‘power duplicate’ as well but I ended up with alignment problems. The circles were no longer evenly spaced in my ‘grid’. Power duplicate sadly doesn’t work smoothly with cursor keys (and transform at the same time).
