Just recently finished the 5ds anime. Team Ragnarök was so cool (the whole show was, honestly). Made me want to play around with a lot of the archetypes from there. Especially Nordics and Infernity. Good thing for nordics: I already occasionally dug into the box because of lance. So I basically just have to finish the box (don't have Odin and probably some copies of the other cards)
Good news for Nordic players! Konami just released a new wave of support for Nordic in the OCG, including: - A level 4 Nordic that can add 1 Nordic Relic when normal or special summon and can special summon itself from the hand if you control a Nordic or Aesir monster. - A Nordic Beast Tuner that can summon other Nordic from the hand when normal or special summon and add a Nordic from the GY, except itself to the hand. - A Nordic Relic spell that can special summon a Nordic straight from the deck but lock you into only summon Aesir as long as that monster is face up on the field *OR* Banish the spell from the GY to add 1 Nordic monster from the deck to the hand then shuffle 1 card from the hand to the deck. Both effects are hard OPT, you can only activate 1 of them per turn. - A continuous Nordic Relic trap that can negate the effects of all face-up cards opponent control until the end of the turn *OR* Tribute 1 Nordic monster to special summon 1 Aesir monster from the GY. Both effects are hard OPT, you can only activate 1 of them per turn. While the Nordic Relics are incredibly strong for the current Duel Links standard, you can expect both of the Nordic monsters in this wave of support hit Duel Links in no time. Please note that the only Nordic cards that haven't released in Duel Links yet outside of the 4 new cards i just listed are either a Link monster (Gullveig), having an effect related to Link monsters (Alviss), having an effect related to main phase 2 (Fenrir) or just outright a trash card (The Nordic Lights). So the maximum support you can expect for the deck is 5 cards (including The Nordic Lights), which will fit perfectly into an EX Structure Deck.
Been playing this deck for a few days now it’s so much fun! I found running 3 Ljosalf instead of 3 Tyr helps for R4 xyz or L6 synchro plays since it specials another card from hand if you control a god
Just finished digging for 2 Photon Orbital and stopped without getting Paladynamo. I still have gems expiring on the 28th and I don't think we'd be getting a box by then. Aesir is from the Forbidden Lance bix right? Is it a good box to dig in for or should I try to get Heraldy Patriarch to tech into Harpies?
The age of this deck shows. I've been wanting to try this for a long time, but it just looks so defeatsble, with all the 'banishing' effects these days. It feels like half the time nobody evens attacks before banishing your field anymore. I hate playing with meta decks, but this looks too frustrating. That 'one card hero' formula doesn't work unless you're galaxy or gandora. Even galaxy isn't a 'one card hero' deck, really. I hate galaxy😪.
u might as well sub thor with a different generic synchro monster bcs its tuner requires on the field compare to the other tuners. Vanadis can be used to as tuner for all 3 synchro boss but u still require 2 more non tuner monsters on the field
Majority you gonna be using odin and loki the most not unless you can make room for guldfaxe to be able to use thor and able to keep this deck as a beat down still

What surprise me the most is that you actually use Loki more than Thor. I don’t even use Loki in my Nordic deck but guess I should give it a shot

One question, there are no Nordic beast tuners. What should I alter to use them to summon Thor?

If I remember correctly, their search trap require you to control Norse god to activate. I’m not so sure it sounds good even in anime.
