Of all of the Nightmare Revisited tracks, this one is by far the best. No contest. Amy Lee knocked it out of the park.
When I heard Helena Bonham Carter sing this song in the movie, I don't feel Sally's pain & sorrow in the movie. But when I heard Amy sing this song, I feel her pain & sorrow. I can't get enough of hearing this version of this song.
helena bonham carter did NOT sing the song in the movie...she did not even play sally..it was Catherine O'Hara who played AND sang Sally....if you're that much of a fan of the movie...please know your facts.....

i love a majority of the covers but this one tops them all..... by far. Amy Lee has one of the best vocals ever and puts so much soul into her tracks it's hard not to be pulled in and experience those songs on a more personal level. Her amazing angelic voice paired with her beautifully haunting tone makes this 100X better and you can feel the sorrow and longing that Sally feels ( also crap went on too long again lmao)

I think I'm the only person who doesn't like this version. Catherine O'Hara is perfect as timid Sally in the film but Amy Lee sounds so contrived here. This just sounds like a really dull Evanescence B-side.

I think this is the best cover of this song. Sally herself sounds cheerful, with a touch of sadness. Fiona Apple sounds bored and sings really low when she sings this too. Amy makes the perfect amount of emotion in the song and the music, her voice, and her passion makes her stand out above the others. I'm a big Evanescence fan and I always will be! :)
