Who said the Ashentehene is the King of Ghana? He is the King of the Ashenti tribe rather than Ghana. Every tribes in Ghana have their own Kings as their leaders. It's only the president of Ghana who represent the whole country.

At least I've been told there's only one King in Ghana who represent the Ashanti Kingdom(As you just attested) and the chiefs in the other tribes/groups. Asantehene is the only King in Ghana. All other tribal chiefs are Paramount Chiefs of which Asantehene has 70 of them.
