Rooster: *mask on as soon as he hears Mavs voice*
The difference between movies and reality never ceases to amaze me
As long as he doesn’t call you a man, great comeback
This movie is a masterclass in how to do a "long awaited" sequel
One of the best aviation films ever made
This film is fantastic from beginning to end and that's a hill I'll die on.
"This guy needs an ego check."
- The guy who desperately needs an ego check.
Love the irony there.
And he got one, but not until Maverick's solo training run. Until then, I think "Bagman" still thought he was the best.
@@josephnewbern2717 It looked like he had a change of heart with the "Holy shit" scene right after these ones.
@@josephnewbern2717 And when he thought he lost BOTH Maverick and Rooster
I don’t know who’s cockier, Iceman from Top Gun, or Hangman from the sequel
Maverick: "Yep, my ego's still there. Ego, check. Time to fuck up some rooks."
This movie is so classic. Really refreshing to watch.
You would think Payback and Phoenix piloting the F18-F 2 seater with RIO would have the advantage in a dog fight over the single seater. Then again ...... it's Maverick.
Baby on board hahahaha 😂This adds so much to hangman’s character. He is the best pilot in my opinion
This is pure Hollywood cinema.
Great fun. Banging soundtrack. Full of clichés.
Don’t care. It’s amazing
That's why we fo for that popcorn movie. To be entertained.
I love how Maverick comes out of nowhere like some demon and everyone gets spooked haha. Badass.
I can not wait for this to
Hit 4K Blu-ray!
The best part about this, is these aren't rookie pilots. These are top gun grads (the best of the best), and Mav STILL owns them
Ok,I'm an admitted Who fan...but this is THE BEST trailer of Top Gun/ Maverick !!
Great job!!
Best show I've seen since Top Gun '86!
Damn that's a good sequence - great music, perfect pacing. At university we were pretty obsessed with Top Gun 1. My two best friends both ended up in the RAF after three years flying and partying at uni. One ended up a pilot on Tornado (fighter-bomber version) the other a Chinook navigator - so not quite Top Gun but you can't have it all. I have the eyesite of a mole so I ended up with the girl instead 🙂
Don't knock the heelo jocks - one of them saved my uncle's ass in Vietnam - went in when no one else would - took tremendous ground fire - pulling him out on strings after he was wounded in a NVA ambush.
My Uncle told me he never did get the pilot's name... but never forgot him.
The Tornado is a hell of a great plane! Also, helos aren't easy and damn can they save your butt.
They forget Maverick has real combat experience. He showed out in the OG when Iceman was in trouble
Good morning, gentlemen, the temperature is 110 degrees...
opps... wrong movie 😂😂
Holly Shit! It's Viper.
3:42 *UH THEY SKIPPED A PART THERE!!*
This sequel was almost as good or better than the original! Just wow!
It’s better the the first film. So much lord went into making the film. These guys would be upset to hear you say that the second is almost or as good as the original.
Phoenix is everything and more 😍😍😍
Hangman: I want Viper!!
I like how rooster knew to get ready when maverick started briefing em
0:27 "This guy needs an ego check."
*Are you sure about that*
''he called you man phoenix...you gonna take that?' 'so long as he doesn't call you a man!', 🤣 best come back I've heard since Aliens 'Hey vasquez, you ever been mistaken for a man?' 'nope. have you?' 🤣
Mav still the best of the best in the Navy 👍
"It was all fun and games with that selfie wasn't it?"
This movie is AWESOME!!! Watched it twice in less than a week, definitely in my top 5 movie list with the first one...
They aren't cocky rookies, they are the best of the best naval aviators, all graduates of top gun.
They are still Rookies compared to Maverick lol… which is the entire point of the movie with him training them as well as showing them that despite their skills they still have very little experience.
@@RuanAntunes7 I was smart enough as a young person to never underestimate the guys that were older than me and already doing it when I was in diapers. I always gave the proper amount of respect, especially when it was warranted. This is one thing that is greatly missing with young bucks today...
Well yes but I’m pretty sure it was stated that they’d all been deployed but seen no action with the exception of Hangman who had a confirmed kill. In the first movie Maverick got deployed a week or so after graduating along with the rest and even before he had already been deployed several times with MIG sightings on the carrier. I assume that’s what they mean with “rookies”.
@amilcarsafeca4808 I've actually come to believe that they were all figments of mavericks imagination. That he actually died in the test flight at the beginning of the movie and that explains why the rest of the movie is basically a Sci fi movie.
Rooster was the only one who truly knew who he was up against. I feel like Hangman was this movies Iceman, but he was only one to make Mav work for it slightly
Hangman had all the best lines. I hope we get a rooster and hangman Top Gun movie.
Please, no.
No Top Gun movies without Tom Cruise please
One of THE BEST movies I've ever seen
It was all fun and games in that selfie wasn't it? 🤣🤣🤣
Love the fact that Rooster immediately put his mask on. While in real life, it would never be off, i like that they used it as a nonverbal cue.
Haven’t seen the movie but have already had my fill of “break right” in just this clip alone.
Does it trigger you? Pick up your skirt before you trip and hurt yourself.
I love the way Rooster says "guys" as in you have no idea who you're fucking with, yous are digging a hole with the push ups thing.
There is nobody better in the Ready Five spot than Hangman...
Despite the title saying “cocky rookies” which is true for most of them, I do like how rooster and pheonix are the only ones that are not overly confident, for different reasons of course. Phoenix is naturally cautious while rooster got that chip on his shoulder
Go Navy!! 💪
Perfect soundtrack!
Who else thinks CSI: Miami when they hear this soundtrack?
Bruhhhhhh..... I also think that tho.
@@loadmaster_lax I mostly think of "that" vine XD
Grew up watching the first one. It defined my life of aviation. This flying scene is my favorite out of the Second movie. Mirroring how my favorite flying scene in is the First one from the First movie.
