Wayne sadly passed away the 8th March 2020 to kidney failure. A LOVELY man,, who had a lot of time for those he came into contact with, I was just one of those recipients of his kind, welcoming hospitality & caring nature, RIP, gone but NEVER forgotten, EVER.
.....just when one thinks you have left the planet with the break in up-loads of the W.O.S. matches vids....you post us some more....keep them coming....Thanks for posting...it's appreciated...
Went to see the tag match Big Daddy and Wayne Briges V Quinn and Fuji at Wembley 2-0 Bridges and Quinn started, Bridges throw him around the wring and never did get the world title return mentioned above as Quinn went to another promoter and was stripped of the title and Bridges beat Missippi Mauler (after monthly eliminaters held at the Royal Albert Hall) also at wembley on the night Big Daddy beat Giant Haystacks, good old days
Wayne Bridges was a damned nice bloke. He used to run a pub [The Cock] near Clapham Common tube. The amount of idiots I saw in there regretting trying it on with him was ridiculous. He never once hit them, but he'd lock onto them, take them to the floor and have them crying in pain in front of their mates! But if you didn't try and come the big man with him he was the nicest bloke you could ever meet.
I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to take on a trained wrestler, especially one as big as Wayne Bridges. I mean, what did they think would happen!

Yeah all moody
I was there that night in Wembley. The Missippi Mauler was also known as Kamala, the Ugandan Headhunter, who had a famous match up with Hulk Hogan.
Mr Bridges runs my local pub
lewisnbeans He must be well past retiring age now
Max ward is a joke as a ref
Bridges used the blade while out of ring
Joe Guitar all moody and blade mate I can assure you of that
Looked worse than it was
real men here...pure testosterone in the ring... best man won
You do know that you're rather demented?

Quinn should have been disqualified for the stunts he pulled
It’s well seen that Quinn’s fights were fixed. It’s funny how he was never matched against Andy Robin. I would loved to have seen him in a power lock.
What a rotten referee!
