- In this video I show you how to clean the Levoit Pet Air Purifier Core P350 Air Filter. I show step by step how to remove the air filter from the air purifier, and how to clean it. The only part of the filter you can clean is the pre filter and you need to be careful when you clean it. I use a vacuum in this video to clean the pre filter. I have other videos on the Levoit Pet Air Purifier that I will link in a playlist at the end of this video, if you are interested and have time please check that playlist out. Thanks for watching!

That's the easiest, simplest filter cleaning ever. But the red light is still on when I start the purifier back up so I must need a new filter. EDIT: I found info about holding the red light down for five seconds and that worked.
Thanks for sharing the information about turning off the red light.
Thank you so much! I was wondering how to turn it off after cleaning a filter😊 It worked!
THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
Good video. One important point is that you want to make sure after turning off and unplugging the purifier that the fan stops spinning completely before turning the unit over. This will prevent the air from being pushed back into the unit and possibly turning the fan in the opposite direction.
Don’t forget to vacuum the OUTSIDE holes on the unit.
Is at a shop vac he's using
Clear and very helpful. Thank you!!
If you’ve never used an air filter these are great. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_dppjvjF8BYEmPSDTcgCUdRsgWYLXNHN I ended up with three after starting out with one. The noise level depends on the 1-3 settings with how hard you want the machine to work. You can also upgrade the filters and get one better for pet hair and smells which is a must have in my home. I noticed the air seemed lighter and easier to breathe when running the machine for the first time. Works great every time. Highly recommended!
Love it that you went slow and very thorough in your instructions. Thank you!
Thank you! My husband used a leaf blower and it worked!
Thanks. I was looking for the info about getting the change filter light reset. You made it easy.
Thank you! This was very helpful 😊
This is exactly what I needed to know... thank you!!!
Good info thanks
Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Thank u so much
Thanks for watching!
Thank you the person I bought mine from told me to wash the filter with water!! Glad I watched this.
Can I wash the filter with water? Can I wear perfume?
I'm not sure why you would want to put all of those dust particles into your vacuum unless you have an extremely HEPA filter vacuum... which is another filter you're just going to have to clean out of all of the particles you just vacuumed up into it so wouldn't it be better just to take it outside and blast it with an air compressor?
i t felt like watching a thriller when they defuse the bomb :)))) thanks for the ttip anyway sray safe
I use an air compressor.. got a small one from sears.
There's grease on the grey fins that I've scraped off with a knife. Makes it look like melted plastic. On higher speeds there's a very audible sound like something isn't property lubricates(because it's all being flung up to the top grate fins). After a while of running on low it finally quieted down... Think I'll have to disassemble and regrease it?
That's what your filter looks like after 2 weeks? What do you have? A cat? I took mine to clean it and the filter was completely brown with loose hair and dust falling off. 2 weeks uses. I don't know if that means I win or lose. I have 3 huskies.
I’ve got 2 dogs and mine was full and gross after 2 weeks. Just imagine what we were breathing in. I would never go without a purifier again. Everyone needs to have a purifier! You would never know how bad your air quality was without one
I was thinking I should look at the filter / clean it. It's been running a few months. Opened it up and guess what PLASTIC BAG around the filter. What a great purchase. Omg.
The manual says that the first time you use it, you should remove the packaging around the filter. Do people not read manuals anymore?
Does cleaning the filter in this way imply that you do not need to purchase replacement filters? Or does it only extend the life of the filter? Also, does anyone know if the change filter light is activated by a sensor detecting if the filter is dirty or is it activated only by the amount of time passing? Thanks in advance!
if you google it the filter percentage is determined by every 12 hours of continuous use of the filter in the air purifier. Just set a reminder to vacuum it regularly, I usually try to extend the life of the filter a little longer than when the app recommends to do so, your mileage may vary depending on how dusty your house is.

Is there a way to clean the top? I see a lot of dust and hair in the top part
I have 2 dogs, an Am-Staff Terrier and a Pug, and 3 weeks after initial purchase, I was absolutely shocked how dirty the air filter was upon it's first inspection. Thoroughly coated in dog hair and soot shot out everywhere like a talcum powder explosion when I gently tapped it in the sink. I can't believe I was breathing that crap in my lungs for so many years in my master bedroom before I bought my Levoit Core 300S model. Even though the stock OEM filter still had 82% life expectancy left, I purchased and installed the yellow Pet Allergy/Dander filter for even more peace of mind. Thanks for this video pimp, but the safety goggles are a bit overkill. lmao
How often did you have the purifier on for throughout the day? Thanks
47,000 people sought a clever way to wash their air filter, only to watch a guy take 4 minutes to put on gloves and a gas mask just to vacuum up surface dust!
Just a thought. Does your vacuum cleaner have a hepa filter, as the exhaust air from the vacuum cleaner could blow dirty air back into the room. I do tend to do mine outside, it’s a bit anal I know.
I notice that you're not wearing steel toe boots....safety first
😂😂😂
😂
Helmet also recommended
Also, the rug is in the in violation of EGRESS. 😂
Bruh, 😂😂😂😂 I'm calling OSHA
Don't forget to sweep both the intakes on the side and the expelling vents at the top. Also a gentle upholstery brush helps quite a bit if used gently on the filter itself
Wish that he would have turned it on at the end.
What will happen if you wash it?
You will need to buy a new one.
@@DRUCO316 i bought
I wash mine , I think I shouldn’t what can I do now ?
😂😂😂😂buy a new one
I did the same one
Not sure why you needed gloves and safety goggles for that.
Was thinking the same thing! 😂
Lmao
Probably cause it's full of allergens and dust but what would I know am I right 😮
Science dummy
My son has extreme allergy to dust mites. He also wear gloves when he does things like that. I also have extreme allergy. I need to wear gloves but I don’t and I paid the price.
why can't you just wipe out the inside with a disinfecting wipes or sanitize wipes, or can you instead of vacuum
Make sure you pour chocolate milk in the top vents as the last step. Take care guys.
😯
My kids already did that. Worked. Thanks.
Considering this filters virus particles? Cleaning begins about 2:05
PPE to change a filter? 😂
Take the filter to a car wash and use the air hose to blow all the dirt out of the filter. Boom
Darn. I washed my filter with water and let it dry in the Sun.
Am I screwed?
Can I wash the filter with water? Can I wear perfume?
What do you do if the red lock light is on after you clean in exactly as you do ?
Try pressing the sleep mode (moon) for 3 seconds and the red light should turn off
Thank you so much! I replaced my filter and that light came on and couldn’t get it off.
Um. Not so much like that. More aggressively would be more effective.
Make sure you put on your safety equipment? Gloves, mask and googles to clean an air filter. Be careful. I hope you weren't injured.
Injured by what? Accidentally getting sucked into the vacuum? Wtf are you talking about?
@@jayroi1814 Lighten up Nimrod. Your sarc meter needs calibrating.
@@Marc-py1qn😆😆😆
Yeah… I left the comment in the other video I don’t get why you need to have goggles a mask and gloves just to change a filter. Im confused lol
Well, really not impressed with video. First of all, why would you attend to “clean “the air filter on the ground specially, on the carpet. Second, you should be doing that outside as vacuuming the filter inside without proper HEPA filter on the vacuum, you just making situation worse. Third of all nobody really knows just how long these filters will be beneficial. I’ve worked at a warehouse assembling these and some are questionable, which is why my wife’s work “literally tosses “these filters after three weeks even though they recommen for 4 -6 mths. And have people lately noticed just how much nasal or throat congestion issues people are having? A lot of air purification products in the market now? Why is that?🙈🤔🤔
Are you afraid of dust and wearing a mask?
Some people have allergies?
Yes, does gets into lungs and causes ailments
6 min video to say vacuum the filter. Gtfoh
We’re you really wearing a mask all by yourself in your home while you made this video? WTF is wrong with people. 😂
you could've done this in library 30 seconds why the boring annoying voice? and unnecessary vacuum noice for 2 minutes????
you could have just not watched it yet you post an annoying and unnecessary comment. you wasted your own time.
Gay bracelets, idk if your daughter made them for you, still gay.
lmfao dude gets off on step by step
