This dance originated in Aceh, a province in Indonesia on the west end, located on the island of Sumatra. this opening ceremony has 5 segments. 1. Water theater from the Majapahit kingdom in 1293 to 1500, "Gajah Mada" which unites islands with water. And this also symbolizes the greatness of Indonesia as a maritime country. This segment closed by raisa with "zamrud khatulistiwa" song. 2. Earth symbolizing natural wealth and diversity of tribes in Indonesia. here displays 19 traditional dances and regional song from several ethnic groups in Indonesia. 3.
