    Not sure if your into old classic cars. But Barry’s Car Barn by Kitchen Kettle is really cool. Closed on Sunday but worth checking out. The owner is a local in the community. Within the year or so in the upstairs he is butting a brewery and food spot.

    There is a really cool wildlife park by Hershey called Lake Tobias Wildlife Park. They take you around in converted school buses and you feed the animals. So much fun.

    Such a great idea for a video! We are normally not in Lancaster on a Sunday so I never really thought about what all is open on Sunday. This is so detailed! Lots of research went into this. Thanks for sharing this. We really appreciate it!

    Great video! I remember when you helped us find a good place to eat on a Sunday. Is there a charge for the Turkey Hill Experience? The road has a few bumps and pot holes but we are on track for our trip. Hard drive to Lancaster then leisurely camp back to Florida. Thank you for all your hard work.

    • @ElleLiving
      @ElleLiving  2 года назад +1

      Thanks David ☺️ Yes the Turkey Hill Experience ranges from $10.50-$24.00 depending on what you want to do (baseline is $10.50).
      So exciting that you are on the road! Have a great time with Sherman!! 😎🤩👍 be careful! Hope to see you in Lancaster!

    I was a bit surprised to hear you say at the end of the video that you were going up to PA to do some of these things, because you so clearly sound like one of us in your knowledge and pronunciation? Have you recently moved? Your video was excellent and complete. You even included the Wolf Sanctuary!
    The one thing I would add, not to be tongue-in-cheek, that is open on Sunday…is church.
    We are a church-going community. While picture-taking as tourists is not allowed, church attendance on a Sunday morning by visitors is always welcomed by our Lancaster County churches.

      Thanks Brendan, I had to smile at that question bc I did grow up in York county, PA, which is the neighboring county to Lancaster and have been going to Lancaster as day trips all of my adult life. Went there a lot as a kid too - I have fond memories of Dutch Wonderland and Strasburg and eating of course! But yes, moved out of state years ago but come back as much as I can - still miss it so much!
      And THANK YOU for inviting us all to church 😍☺️👍. Love it! I think it would be a wonderful experience. When I am in PA, I stay with my family in York and go to church w them but if I’m ever in Lancaster on a Sunday morning, that would be great!! Are the Mennonite churches open to visitors? Thanks again for the invite!!

    • @wonderfulgood2010
      @wonderfulgood2010 2 года назад

      @@ElleLiving Our Neffsville Mennonite church where we attend certainly is. Dress is business casual. No pictures. Stay for the whole service. Guests are always welcome. Visitors are never singled-out.
      Even as a Yorkie, we’ll still claim you! And thank you for being such a good ambassador for South-Central PA.
      In general, the churches around Lancaster City are going to be Lancaster or Atlantic Conference and would be fine with visitors as I described above. The farther North you go in Lancaster County, the more you get into Martindale Conference Mennonite churches, and perhaps my guidance wouldn’t apply so much there yet.
      However long you’ve been gone, your heart certainly remains here, as I couldn’t tell that you weren’t still local. Bist du gut!

      @wonderfulgood2010 2 года назад +1

      @@ElleLivingPerhaps it’s a good rule of thumb to write that in general, you’ll find the Amish more East and South of Lancaster City, while you’ll find more Mennonites North and NE of Lancaster City and you’ll find more Brethren churches West and NW of Lancaster City. Not 100% true, but still remains an accurate representation in general.

      @@wonderfulgood2010 you made my day, really my week! Thank you so much for your kind words and for making me an honorary “local” 😆🤩😂 You are absolutely right- Pennsylvania will always be home in my heart ♥️
      And truly thank you for the invite to your church! I would love to come someday! I am a Jesus-loving Jesus following girl myself and my husband and I co-lead a community group at our church. So we are there every week - wouldn’t have it any other way. My favorite time of the week 🥰🙏. I love to see how other cultures and churches worship the Lord so I do hope to come to your church someday!!

    This is an impressive “guide” full of varied ideas and information for all interests to enjoy and experience on a Sunday in the area. Your time and skills putting this video together is greatly appreciated! Even though I’ve been visiting many years, your list will be so helpful to refer to. We plan to do Strasburg Scooters and or biking on a future visit. Also, Dutch Wonderland experience with our first grandchild! I need some clip-clop therapy!!

      It’s such a GREAT place!!! So many wonderful things and I’m right there with you, love the idea of trying Strasburg Scooters and biking around 👏👏 And how fun that you get to go to Dutch Wonderland with you grandchild! I’m closer to that stage now than when I took my kiddos 🙃😆😊 I wish they offered a buggy ride where you could have like a recliner in the buggy so one could fall asleep to the clip clop!! 😂😂😊😊
