That crack on the plant stand is because that screw was over tightened. You could probably remove the paint and re-paint it which ever color you like as long as the paint is waterproof.

If you don't like the white, instead of stripping the paint off go for a different bold color that you do like that matches with the aesthetic of your apartment. That way it will stand out in a way you like rather than a way that you don't

Tip for the tight jeans is to wear them around the house for a few weeks, so you stretch them out a bit. If that’s not an option, take some pix or short video of you putting them on and modelling them, and auction them off, with 1 photo of you in them, for charity. The plant shelf thing, maybe paint over it. Maybe a bold pink or green.

Shopping is hard! There are no stores that sell what I would like to purchase. So that leaves online shopping. You can't try anything on before you buy. And then you have all of that shipping back and forth. It's terrible. The zero waste options in Portland (OR) are pathetic. In a word: Frustrating.

No need for extra underwear and you can fold them in on themselves to transport dirty ones mess free. I bought mine from a company, that has a buy 1 donate 1 policy for girls in India, so they won't have to skip school while on their period.

For the period underwear, I like the black on the inside to hide the honestly gross looking (although completely natural) blood because sometimes I just can’t handle that for my morning pee… but the light outside will tell me if I’m somehow bleeding through. Just my opinion and I totally understand that the styles aren’t always the cutest!

    • @snuzzbobble
      @snuzzbobble 2 года назад +4

Yeah honestly all the ones I own are black on the inside - makes them less likely to stain as well! My faves are from modibodi as they have a range of styles and colours, and are inclusive in terms of catering to everyone who menstruates, not just selling traditionally feminine underwear

Levi! Are your new jeans 100% cotton? Have you tried stretching them out with the wet method? Just dunk the parts of the pants you want to stretch in water and then either hand stretch them (make sure you pull in multiple directions to stretch them evenly) or wear them as they begin to dry (about 1-2h). You can get an extra 0.5 inch of room doing this.

Leah, you should try Tree Hugger Cloth Pads, not underwear but very comfy reusable pads. I personally prefer the bamboo ones for absorption, but the minky ones are sooo soft. It's a small business owned by a Canadian woman, and they have great customer service :) (plus they plant a tree for every pad sold 🌳).

I had a similar experience with Cariumas. They didn't fit well and weren't very comfortable-I can be super picky with shoes, and I'm glad I ended up returning them. Great marketing, but not much else of theirs works for me, haha. The problem for me with online purchases is that I live in a fairly rural area and don't have access to quality things to begin with, so I frequently have to turn to online stores to find something. The whole concept of online shopping (esp for clothes and shoes) really stresses me out, tho, bc of issues like shoes not fitting well.

Levi, if you read this before Leah, I'm sorry. But Leah, I personally use reusable pads. I don't like the idea of having a menstrual cup or tampon up in me. I found a lady on etsy who's pads I love better than the very first set of pads I bought. Granted, I bought those on Amazon. The second set I bought, I got from a woman run shop called high oh. Third this!!!! I love Nixit, Diva style cups never could sit well with me and the Nixit, being a disk that sits up against the cervix, has been amazing! If you want to try out how a disk will fit, I first started by buying the Flex disposable disks, unfortunately theyre not super sustainable but for a one time purchase to try out a few or for several periods, it might be great before taking the plunge on Nixit.

I do wish that I had known about the Nixit when I still had periods. the secret to being comfortable in tight jeans is briefs. idk why we're so obsessed with boxer briefs as a culture.

Hi Levi and Leah!! My bro and friends are in Canada for exchange and they are in their Airbnb mainly for online class. What would u suggest that I can order for them as food or gifts to brighten their stay while been stuck in the house? As they are on a budget , I am hoping to send something to spruce up their time there. Any advise is appreciated !

On the cariuma box I saw 3M which pollutes a lot in my country (Belgium) so if cariuma is related to 3M it’s definitely not environmentally good

It doesn't do any good to tell us you should not have bought the shoes if you don't tell us why.

Love this type of videos! :)
Regarding the Period underwear: I would assume that the inside is black, so you can't see blood stains that won't remove with washing.

Get barefoot shoes!!!! Also have you tried wearing the jeans around the house and doing lunges and stuff in them? I’ve turned tight jeans into my favs with that method

Didnt really explain the shoes tbh. Sounds like you bought the wrong size and you couldn't coherently come up with a way to explain it

The shoes, the top, bike and shelf... can´t you let them go back with a "complain" (whatever that is called in english)? Don´t you have that law?
If I bought a top that rected like Leahs I would be able to return it and have ALL my money back since it´s not living up to what it should. I can do so within 3 years in Sweden/Europe/EU. To return things like that makes the companys to be aware of that they need to be on top of the quality of their products. If no one points it out for them, how would they know and have a chance to better themself. (unless it´s a dodgy crappy company wh odoesn´t care anyway, on that you hopefully wouldn´t buy from in the first place) Same with Levis shoes, the tipping shelf and the bike. Levis jeans that are to tight, just return them as "doesn´t fit" and you will get all the money back to. Or is that not an option either?
The period pants will fall under "hygiene" and can´t be returned tho a friend might want them. For someone who "bleeds" alot those might be ok during sleep.
