feels like its just the basketball system coming full circle as college basketball is returning to its amateur roots, that said its up to organizations like the NCAA to embrace being the alternative to professional NBA rather than an exclusive developmental system.
I think another big change is the NIL rules. There's less pressure to jump straight to pro and this is important for the prospects outside of the lottery.
It’s because none of the favorites are in the Final Four. Nobody had any of these teams in the Final Four. A lot of the top prospects are from the teams that lost early.
As an European guy who started to watch basketball in early 2000s, I have never understood NCAA. Euroleague and most European Championships express much better basketball for years now.
The is more parity that's why. Top prospects didn't make it to the final four and these teams weren't project to get past the sweet 16. There are prospect out side of wembayana and scoot Henderson....but the players in college might be more nba ready to contribute
Because experience wins in the tournament and all of the one and done young teams get knocked out. And with the NIL and instant eligibility it’s easy to stack up on upperclassmen.
"...giving Elite Prospects an opportunity to continue work on their game while earning a salary, and without having to move to Italy." You make it sound like moving to Italy would be a bad thing lmao 😂🤡
You’d be surprised that a lot of black kids have zero desire to go to Europe growing up. Plus the language barrier and culture shock are obvious concerns.
who cares. this is awesome. let those highlight hoopers play in the g league or some overtime nonsense. We want to see players actually compete for wins
@@happy2450 The NBA doesn't owe prospects a paycheck. Either top picks play in G-league ignite(have one in the east and one in the west that's almost 20 guys) or Europe.
@@mohamedabdourahman9845 its not owning players contracts its about NBA on seeing top prospects play asap. some people need a year some need like 2 years. by logic Luka Donic would be a rookie last year.
3years is way too long 22y/o rookies ? NCAA would lose more because everyone would never want to waste 3years in college with no paychecks or literally any benefits for them
People always say oh look at Europe! They produce players. Name a top player not named Luka, Jokic or Giannis! You can’t, because there aren’t any stars from Europe outside those three players. LaMelo was the last All-Star who played in an international league before entering the draft. His situation was circumstantial. Sabonis was born in America. Lauri played at Arizona. Embiid played at Kansas. It’s a myth to believe NCAA doesn’t not produce talent and top talent. Scoot could be Jerrdy Bayless Amen could be Malik Monk without a 3 ball Ausar could be Terrence Ross without 3 ball. Wembanyama could be Bol Bol or Porzingis. In 5 years We will compare Scoot Wembanyama Ausar Amen Leonard Miller Cidy Cissoko Vs Brandon Miller Cam Whitmore Anthony Black Nick Smith Jr GG Jackson Derrick Lively Maxwell Lewis Taylor Hendricks I will side with the college players.

Disagree. Players are allowed to make money in college now. Still supposed to goto class though. Lol
What a great take

This guy never blink in any of his videos
Never trust dudes like him.
😂😂you son of a b* you can't unsee that

But none of those top prospects are literally THE top prospects. i.e. the twins, scoot or wemby. So the point still stands
Victor Wenbenyama waiving Houston, Spurs, Pistons & Charlotte 👋👋👋
On one hand as a college basketball fan I hate that not as many stars will come through college, but I guess it’ll stay interesting.
And college prospect can go to college now and not forces to go g league or overseas due to NIL, so money can be made
this dude looks like jake gyllenhall and ricky rubio's son

not even close
I agree ncaa is useless
loved this brandon jennings moment
Why is Ricky Rubio hosting this video?

Sorry but I feel you've dismissed NIL from the equation in benefit to the NCAA keeping and attracting more talent than usual.
European and Australian leagues provide a higher level of competetion than college and the NBA recognized that by creating the G-League ignite team.
From What I Remember It's Been Like That Since Brandon Jennings
Here comes another year of the ivy’s and 16th seeds of advancing. I love it
Jaylen Brown your next video theScore 🙏🙏🙏
hopefully the growing obsolescence of the NCAA will encourage them to start paying players...
Only 1 player went to the g league in this years class and the rest went to college.
By this year do you mean 2023 ? If so, that's pretty damn wrong
Good. The ncaa is shady as hell. I’m a vehement proponent to anything that hurts the NCAA
Many of us don't want the NBA to ruin college basketball. The pros is boring enuf as it is
Wem-ban-yama. It’s not that difficult.
3:20 WembanyaMa, not WembanyaNa. Jesus.

SAS: its lebrons fault his career should be penalized for that!
Tbh just copy MLB when it comes to college. Either you get drafted right out of high school or you spend 3 years in college.
3 years is way too long for top prospects.
