Clay was receiving, per TWO producers ON VIDEO, 80% of the votes ‘every single week’ up to the finale. No way Ruben received more votes that night, especially after Clay’s BOTW!! The line was so jammed, even Faye, Clay’s mother couldn’t get a vote in!!! Ruben’s mother was able to get in 200 votes for her son!!! But, both were formidable talents. I just adore Clay more! 😁
From my opinion Clay Aiken was the best contestant American Idol ever had. He should have won.
