Maria I found your speech very moving and inspiring. I can still remember when we were together at St. Clare's and we would talk about entering politics. I have not followed that path but I am certainly glad that you have done so. You will no doubt make a wonderful contribution. It was lovely that you shared the story of your parents, By so doing, you made a tribute to many other migrants (like my parents) who courageously left their family and country to start a new life in Australia. You have obviously inherited that courage and determination. Congratulations!
