- Corn Planting 2024 is rolling along quickly and smoothly! But a surprise overnight thunderstorm brings things quickly to a halt. However, due to the thick living cover crop, Matt, Kelly, and Andy are able to start back quickly. Matt shows how important Precision Planting DeltaForce is for his Kinze planter to be able to continuously adapt to changing conditions on the fly. Matt explains why there is such a huge difference in corn seed sizes. He also explains in detail the best way to terminate annual ryegrass.

Saw you in Rouths comments. I like any farmer that shares this stuff with people. Thank you!
He shows more than any other RUclipsr I know! Great people.
Really enjoyed you showing how the meter worked on the planter. Does a lot more good than me trying to explain it😂😂😂
I’m sure the chiropractor said that Matt should lift all the bags
I split every acre with my center fill in 23, half pioneer half becks 2 hybrids of each. I had never planted pioneer. Becks had monster stalks with short fat ears big kernals , pioneer was weak stalk small kernels but a long ear. I had 42lb seed and 65lb seed. They Def planted differently but yield was the same, had one pioneer hybrid that was 30 bushel less on hills and bottom ground. I'd say all seed companies have good and bad hybrids
just traded my 8yr old massey 9812 planter yesterday for a new massey 9812ve with all the bells and wistles gen 3 20/20 high speed planter was looking for a new kinze 4905 none to be found, rained a inch last night will have to what a few days to use the new planter.
Congratulations! Hope you enjoy it
Not a fan of furrow force closing system in my side hill conditions. I like the concept but when the planter side drafts it doesn’t close the trench
19:39 LOL poor camera.
Matt: I think I found your camera problem. :D
Hey Matt, enjoyed the video but curious how far apart are your videos from what you are planting now? I know everyone is busy with planting and working on equipment and everything but I was just curious. Be safe and have a blessed rest of your week 🙏🏻
We’re currently done planting
Good job using your RTK Bridge. Do you use a free GPS Network?
No. We pay for a RTK correction signal
Whats the reason for spraying and killing strips and not just everything
To let the cover crop in the middles continue to grow producing more nitrogen and putting more carbon in the soil. Also the more biomass you have in cover crops, the better your weed control
Another good video what model kinze is that
