Bobby Flay is an Iron Chef and he gained that title in Japan, apparently the first American Chef to ever earn the title. Bobbie has a very good handle on flavorings and also on meat quality and how it should be cooked. I love watching him cook because I always learn something from him. He has a great sense with Mexican Food. I hope one day to visit one of his restaurants and taste some of his Mexican dishes.

@@harolddorsey9179 I like my burgers very rare just like I like my steak. I don't like fast food burgers because they are over cooked and tasteless in my opinion. Burger is just ground up steak usually, Round steak, Chuck Steak or Sirloin steak. I think Bobby uses Chuck since 20/80 is considered the best for flavor but he might have a blend of different cuts of beef. I get that many people don't like rare meat and most burger places cater to those people. If I order a chicken sandwich, I do want that cooked through but beef, I prefer rare.

The gruyere burger looks so good. I wouldn't try one with mac and cheese on it though. Why do people think that mac and cheese amps anything up? It's just going to fall off and it doesn't really add to the taste. Plain cheese has the same effect. Thanks for the warning that Bobby Flay is a price gouger. It's ridiculous to pay that much. Pomme frites? Call them French fries, darling and lose the one in front of the four on the price. Besides, the best fries are plain Jane and simply cooked in beef tallow. There is too much going on, on the Guy Fury Burger for me. I was instantly turned off from the 1st Burger when I saw the Bacon, and I also thought 'is that even Cooked??".
I like the Presentation of the 2nd Burger, with the toppings on the side. Nikola has her Tomato issues, and i am not the biggest fan of Raw Onions, so having the toppings on the side makes it a lot easier to build it the way you want.
When Nikola and Andrew said they weren't gonna do 'Fast Food', I was disheartened, since the Best Fries I have ever had were from a somewhat Fast Food Place, called 'Boardwalk Fries.....consistently Hot out of the Fryer, well Seasoned, and Great Portion sizes for the Money.

Crispy bacon is mostly overcooked bacon. Pork only needs to be cooked to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. I cook bacon almost everyday. For hamburgers and salads, I use thinner bacon that I cook crispy. For standalone bacon with something like hard boiled eggs, I use thick cut bacon, and cook so it's nice and soft. You can always check the temperature with an infrared temp gun. I used one of those guns when I started cooking bacon, but I haven't used one in years. The bacon on your sandwich at Fiery's looked well cooked, but not crispy; soft bacon can be difficult to eat in a sandwich, but I love the fat on softer bacon.
Personally, I like black forest bacon, but it does have added sugar for the black forest coating. I also like Bohr's Head thick bacon which is my usual go to.

I like going to Harrah’s Ramsay‘s kitchen is my absolute favorite. The crabcake is excellent for appetizer. The scallops as a main tray is out of this world. I would lick the plate if it was up to me.
If you want a good French restaurant go to Aria Bardo. They have an herb shrimp appetizer was delicious. They have almond brittle French toast that is so delicious It takes two days to make this French toast,. I didn’t put no syrup or butter on my French toast. I removed the almond brittle and ate it just like that. It is so delicious and I am not a person eats French toast I’m more of a quiche person but this restaurant I will go back constantly and try something different on the menu.
Another restaurant I would go to is Hakkasan @MGM Grand. I would recommend is the duck micro green salad and the Seabass. My husband and I shared these two they were delicious.

If you want to just do burgers on your trips, look up George Motz and see where he ate one wherever you are going. He estimates that he's had over 40k burgers and has written books on the subject.
Also, Chicago is the proper city for burgers considering the modern American style burger was introduced there in 1893 at the Chicago World's Fair. You will not have a better burger than Au Cheval. Period. Maybe Fatso's Last Stand which does "stuffed" Juicy Lucy Minnesota style burgers, but either way, the best hamburgers are in Chicago.

Ten dollars for water??? Fourteen dollars for a cooked potato made into fries??? Wow! I watch Guy Fieri on Food Network all the time. He seems like a nice guy - he also works with tons of charities. Too bad his burger wasn't up to par. I don't watch Bobby Flay - there's something about him that I don't like. He rubs me the wrong way. I guess it's because his prices are ridiculous! And anything on the strip is going to be expensive. Great video guys.

  • @steves2241
    @steves2241 22 дня назад

The 1st burger looks good, but the prices are crazy, $28.99 for a bacon cheeseburger is very high. And for $28.99 they should have at least cooked the bacon all the way, I hate it when I order bacon on something and it is not crispy. And I would rather have the stringy onions and the mac and cheese on the side, not on my burger, the thing looked like a big mess, and I would never order one.
The 2nd burger looked good, but it was a little small for the price, and it least the bacon was cooked right. I also like how they put the onion, lettuce, tomato, on the side so you can put it on if you want to, or not, instead of just throwing everythig on it and making a big mess out of it.
I have a local bar near me with a kitchen that makes the best burgers I have ever had, they have a 1/3 lb. bacon cheese steak burger, made with fresh ground steak from a butcher shop called Alwan Brothers.
They buy their ground steak every day fresh, so it is never frozen. It is $12.00, and for $2.00 more you can get some hand cut seasoned fries to go with it.
I have been eating burgers for 50 years and it is the best burger I ever had, and if you want even more, they have a double bacon cheese steak burger that is a little over 1/2 lb. for $16.00, but it is so big I usually get the 1/3 lb. and the fries and I can barely eat it all.

If I could just make one more comment let me just explain something. Bobby flay is very disingenuous, using French words to simply refer to a cut of potato. That's all french fries actually means. It refers to the cut of the potato, which is frenched. So why would you want to call it pomme frites? That's pretty fake. I am generally just not a fan of this whole tourist burger thing. And I think it polluted Europe and their idea of a burger.
Here is what I think makes a good American Burger:
A burger should have a great flavor to dollar ratio... and not be expensive.
A burger should be edible with your just your hands and maybe a napkin or foil.
A burger should balance its juiciness with its bun and starch so it doesn't leak all over the place.
A burger should balance fat, acid, sweet, and salty.
These gigantic burgers that you cannot eat properly without picking them apart, that are overloaded with fatty ingredients, that have way too much water, and cost 50 bucks.... are terrible burgers in my eyes.
