Hello ma'am, I am unmarried but my periods are very painful causing heavy flow and cramps first three days. When I consult to Dr she gave me contraceptive pills. And it shows miracles that I don't have painful periods. But is it good to take these pills before marriage also. Or is there any other way to get rid of painful cramps.

Thanks for this informative and myth bursting video. I would request you to make a video on contraception methods which can be adopted by men, besides using a condom. The onus of family planning often falls on the women, taking pills, undergoing abortions during unwanted pregnancies and so on. Men often refuse to use condoms since it doesn't give them "the feel". It would be great if you discuss other methods like vasectomy. Also, how foolproof is a female condom? Thanks.
@Prathamesh Adsul what do u mean by "avoid normal intimacy"? I'm talking about methods of family planning for men. Also, one can get hold of female condoms if she so wishes to. It's not something that is impossible to get.
I'm neither a biology student nor a science, I am an Arts students but I always had intrest in knowing more and more about my own body , n ur videos have helped me to gain a lot of knowledge.

Is it better to use non -hormonal contraception like IUDs over hormonal like pills. Since pills actually stop the natural process of menstruating. Even for a 21 day pill, the period at the end is withdrawl bleed and not actually a natural period. I always have a doubt if we should disrupt body’s natural hormonal cycle or use non-hormonal methods? Thank you very much for sharing all this info, it is so so useful

As I mentioned I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and have been asked to take the birth control pill as a part of the treatment ( post operation).
How safe is this? What are the side effects like cysts Etc. Or any other?

Is Copper-T inserted after having first child or it can be inserted before to not have an unwanted pregnancy, as the male partner is reluctant to use condoms?
When I consulted a gynaecologist, she told that insertion of Copper-T is only after you have first child. Is this true, ma'am?
I just want to warn those of you who like me have PCOD , I used meprate table eveytime I had period issue, I am in my early 30s prolonged use of this cased me to have cataract. gynec doctor never warned me it has steriods. unfortunately I got scammed even in having cataract surgery . the lense was of cheap quality now i cant see near or far even with glasses it is very difficult.

Do contraceptive pills cause weight gain? What is the percentage of chance?
Depo Provera: a 25% chance of weight gain and women on Depo are more likely to become obese
Nexplanon/Implanon/Implant/rod: 15%-19% chance (if I’m not wrong)
The Pill: they say the pills have “0 link to long term weight gain, with the exception of a temporary 3-5lbs of water retention + appetite changes” *even though I’ve never tried any form of hormonal birth control, I would take all 49 of those “do the pills cause weight gain studies” since they’re HIGHLY manipulated to say “the pill doesn’t affect metabolism, the only water retention is up to 5lbs and the rest is on you ! Not saying it happens to everyone cause my mom never gained any weight from the pills, but they’re plenty of women who say they feel Gaslit by their doctors regarding this side effects. A more accurate answer would be, it highly depends on the person, some people gain weight, others loose weight, others stay the same.
The ring and patch: I honestly have no clue regarding the statistics
Hormonal IUD: it’s less likely given the hormones are localized in the uterus so it’s not going out into the blood stream!
Copper IUD, female condom, and other non-hormonal methods: 0% chance of weight gain
