- Experienced adventurer bear Grylls takes sissy sitcom actress Miranda Hart on a mountaineering survival trip to the Swiss Alps. A helicopter drops them in the zonal valley near to the Matterhorn. Stil, just descending and camping proves testing for the winer although he does all the work and more, so a few treats are most welcome.
Bear Grylls takes two of the most famous faces in British Television away for the wildest weekends of their lives where they are tested to their limits. On this intrepid journey, we get to see both the celebrity and Bear ‘unwrapped’. It is a fascinating insight into both their worlds, as they get to know and trust each other with their lives.

When the screen dimmed into dark as you lit a fire, I caught a glimpse of my reflection smiling. I thought "why am I smiling so much?" and it's because this video is absolutely enjoyable to watch and I'm so proud of you Miranda (and Bear).

I LOVE how, in the helicopter, Miranda is expressing her fear, saying how silly it probably seems to Bear since he does this everyday, but he’s not teasing her, he’s not making fun, he just holds her hand and tries to reassure her.
Miranda Hart meets Bear Grylls. Well, it went as well as could be expected. The great outdoors. Falling over. Clothing malfunctions. Slightly cheeky jokes. Farting. All ticked. Loved it.
I enjoy these series with Bear Grylls, but this has to be my favourite. Miranda was fantastic, I felt so proud for her - the fact that she kept her sense of humour speaks volumes about her.
Absolutely in love with Miranda. Such a genuine person. Finally somebody famous worth to follow ❤️

Such a sweet episode. I love Miranda’s courage, positivity, and openness with her own struggles and vulnerabilities. Her humanity is touching and she is such a beautiful soul. Bear was also so wonderful in his gentle assurance and support- a true guide and friend. Very sweet how she referred to him as her “hero” :) . What a wonderful inspiration!

As a Swiss - and equally terrified of high mountains, danger and physical exertion as Miranda - I LOVED this video, such a brave woman, never losing her sense of humour, and ‘finding’ Bear to be a wonderful guide with a great comprehension of Miranda’s woes - I had to interrupt frequently because i laughed so loud and hard :) Thank You for this beautiful job!

The absolute chemistry between them was so wonderful. Friendship or romantic, these two were having fun in another life. I wish we had a second episode of them. Most I’ve seen bear laugh and give in to the fun.

Three cheers, MIranda! Walking in snow is HARD! Walking on broken rocks is even HARDER. Even if you run on a track, this will wear out your leg muscles in no time. Moving around in a small tent is difficult when you have spent the night sleeping on the ground and you are stiff. Coping with the cold is really draining. Jumping from rock to rock on the second day, more broken rock underfoot, slippery ice... And managing to persevere and (mostly) keep smiling- amazing! That is not even mentioning her fear of helicopters and heights. I didn't believe her claims to be fearful, given her choice of career, but she is more than brave, she is deeply tough!

I love Miranda and Bear! She's so amazing!! I couldn't do half of that. Bear is so encouraging and such a positive guide. He really did well helping Miranda conquer her fears.
This is so nice to watch. I've only seen her as sweet Chummy in Call the Midwife, but her as a comedian and person is a 180° different Miranda Hart who's just as sweet and funny.

It’s only the Swiss Alps, not the Himalayas! It’s roughly the same as camping out in the Scottish highlands - firewood would not have been hard to come by, if they didn’t already bring it with them
@@MiniLemmy It's above the tree line, just about entering scrub and yeah the helicopter or film crew may have brought it but they certainly didn't. Look at the size of the logs they burnt last night and now a fresh load for morning. Love the programme and love Miranda, but really.
His attitude is so calming and positive; he’s the best guy to be with for tackling these fears. I’m sure that’s what kept her so calm and relaxed in such a high stress environment. Now I wanna go in the Swiss alps (with Bears obviously 😏).

Wonderful watching expert ex SAS and Chief Scout Bear Grylls and comedienne/writer Amanda Hart work as a team. The scenery is remarkable and breathtaking. The commaradery, jokes, awkward moments between them is very entertaining. The support and motivation Bear provides Miranda is superb and carefully encourages her to face adversity. Truly courageous and remarkable man. Love Miranda's determination and commitment to overcome her fears of heights and small spaces. Love the bit where Bear pulls out the padding from Miranda's trousers to use as kindling for the fire! LolL! Very enjoyable and inspiring to watch. Thank you.
