Battle of Osowiets fortress
The fortress was built in the years 1882-1892 as one of the defensive works to protect the western borders of Russia against Germany, and continuously modernised afterwards to cope with advances in heavy siege artillery. The fortress saw heavy fighting during the beginning of World War I in the eastern front from September 1914 until the Russian Army abandoned it in August 1915. In the interwar years the fortress was used by the Polish Army. During the German invasion of Poland in 1939 it was bypassed and did not see much fighting.

Russians in that sleep experiment are immune
You know what really makes it sad? Is that even attacked by poisonous gas, the Russians refused to retreat and rose back up to fight. This was probably the best act of bravery I have heard from WWI.
i don't know the 308 battle at argonne was pretty intense as well yes the russians were gassed and fought back the 308 fought for 6 days attacked on all sides by not just the german but also suffering friendly fire and shelling and refused to surrender the german comander sent a request to the allies to order the men to surrender so the slaughter could end

This was probably my favorite battle in history! Man the amount of courage and loyalty to their country the Russians must've had in order for them to charge even when they were dying! This was awesome! Great job!👍

This was shocking when I heard about this legend and watched history videos about it and I was amazed of how they managed to survive it and made it back home before passing away
its been said that due their terrifying faces the germans rushed back at their trenchers so fast that most germans died in theyre own barbed wires
