- The Battle of the Somme, also known as the Somme offensive,
was a battle of the First World War fought by the armies of the British Empire and French Third Republic
against the German Empire.
It took place between 1 July and 18 November 1916 on both sides of the upper reaches of the Somme,
a river in France.

If you didn’t know, the germans had stormtroopers in wwI. I see them more or less as the worlds first direct action special forces unit.

I’m not sure because it might be the German late World War I uniform but if it’s not you probably mixed up German World War I uniform of German World War II I think it’s German World War II might be also World War I just like how I thought the British World War II home it was only world war two but it was actually used in late World War I
I believe it's the German Late WWI uniform because of the buttons down their shirts.
