Fight was done in Safety difficulty mode for the purpose of getting Demi-fiend easily in party and essence farming. Safety difficulty mode is a free DLC and you have to download it to gain access.

I really wish he wasn't a guest demon and can be summoned in your compendium just like Raidou Kuzunoha in SMT3
I agree too and I also wish he was recruitable like around mid-game, though not a big deal on the part when you get to fight and recruit him. After all, he's like that one guy you come to now in Vengeance if you need an extra pair of godly demon to help out during the final section of the game. XD
I've been struggling on this fight in NG+ (normal) and multiple lvl 95+ demons.
I understand lowering the difficulty as this fight is nuts but my jaw dropped as soon as I saw the damage you did with that Murakumo.
As much as I want demi-fiend in my party my pride and honor would be just as defeated as Demi-fined in that fight.
FeelsBadMan To be honest, he's really strong and that's fine because he and his demons are supposed to be really strong anyway. Hehe.
XD Yes, Safety difficulty apparently lowers the damage reduction or the defense of your enemies. It was only possible due to Safety difficulty and Savage, Charge and Critical Zealot buffs.

When you get to NG+ I'd recommend trying the fight but with some other difficult such as easy or normal cause it feels more rewarding. (Plus there's nothing wrong with playing on safety if that is the most enjoyable way to play.)

Question: once you use the Demi-Fiend essence, is it possible to obtain it again?
@@Enchilada1994 Yes Enchilada! And it is a guaranteed drop too every time you defeat him. Same goes also for Shiva and Satan too. :D Hope you are well and enjoy.
