When i used paydirect function, is it necessary for my phone to online? If my phone offline, is it meaning the toll fee will deducted from my physical card?
Basically no need. If your e wallet balance is not enough, the fare will deduct from physical card
Do we need to use the new NFC enabled TnG card or the old cards will also work for PayDirect ? I tried it recently and got stuck at the toll despite having sufficient eWallet balance (30+ RM) cause my card had 0.70 RM. So does it mean I need an NFC enabled TnG card and it only works with NFC enabled phone? Does it work with SmartTag?
Old cards will also work as long as it is linked to your TNG eWallet

Not detail enough to get the full picture how the e wallet link to our touch and go card. First need to on the e wallet app, then you enter the touch and go lane and scan your touch and go card and you exit at the second booth which is a smartag lane, and again you used the touch n go card to scan for payment this time. This is where the confusing part appeared. Should my phone with the touch n go ewallet app be switch on all the time to get the connection??
No you don't need to, once you have your touch n go card linked to your account, paydirect works automatically when you tap your card on the reader
I got my physical TnG card linked to my eWallet. I stay in Kuantan. My son used my TnG card in KL.
I got a notification whenever my son passes thru the particular toll plaza. Toll deducted from my eWallet even though I am in Kuantan.
PLUS highway still unable to use Pay Direct. Sigh...
Your english language is very good than many other ministers or even ... thanks for your tutorial but i still think troublesome to open window and touch the card ! Rfid might be better if they can improve the accuracy or sensitivity !
You should show the mobile app balance to show that it didn't deduct from the card but deduct from the e wallet.
Nah....im still using my touch n go built in my ic to pay. But why pay direct instead of directly top up the physical card using apps. Can detect thru apps what. Pay direct only available mostly in kl... hmmm
I don’t understand, I was xpecting u to show us that u tap ur fon to the TnG to use pay direct? Is that the way to use pay direct or should I still need to use mu card?

How do you link your TnG card to the ewallet? by keying in the serial number on the card? If the card expired then how?

You must to buy and register for your TNG E-wallet, it's cost RM 50
News flash! It’s 3 years later and I activated this feature and used the linked card in one of JB toll roads but I couldn’t go through while my e-wallet had 90+ MYR in it. The reason was because somehow the toll only deducted money from the card until the card was empty and it didn’t touch the e-wallet balance.
So I have to put hazard blinkers on and leave the car and go to the TNG booth on a few lanes away and top-up manually and come back and drive through. It was such an embarrassment.
Why need to leave the car? can't reload from ewallet?
I thought I can pay from phone directly like I just need to scan mobile display to pass.
Why don't they just add another features of card elimination and use our phone NFC just like Samsung Pay?
In that case they have to install nfc payment receive device on each and every toll gate tap bars which is highly cost consuming and by the feature they introduce now....you can even use the same wallet for other shopping as well
What I don't like about RFID is that you need to stick it on your head lights. Unless they can improve whereby you can have it stick on your front windshield for me no point getting an RFID and I agree with KLGadgetTV paydirect is better option since a physical card can last much more longer than a piece of sticker

As regards to Pay Direct,Do we have to lower down our car window and tap on the toll machine unlike smart tag without lowering car window and passing the toll?

My RM 35 used in pay derict.but I was using tng only. How both can use?

Any TnG card as long as you register it in the TnG eWallet app

Very helpful video since I a m a newbie. What happens if I also have balance on my TNG card? Can I select where the money is taken from -- card or e-wallet ? Or the system makes that decision for me?

Everyday return to JB from Singapore. I scan TNG card. 2 scanner $2.9 deducted and $20 deducted. To my horror! Duplicate$2.9 deduct again from ewallet.
At SILK highway, using pay direct will not give u a beeping sound, instead the barrier open itself with the value shown...
Also, using the tambah nilai lane will not deduct ur ewallet but instead deduct ur card value u used...
Therefore, pay Direct is still a beta product ...

How this is better than rfid when you still nwed to open up your window and touch the card and still need a battery for your smartag...
It is at least easily transferrable, and you can use TnG card for many other things, such as parking and retail.

Multiple car users definitely like Pay Direct. Not going to pay $35 for each car. Furthermore, some park at lrt station when lrt is more convenient and can still use the card.

I would prefer RFID compare to smart tag. 9V Smart tag battery cost RM9 whilst RFID requires no battery.

ask touch&Go to put their top up machine 100m before the toll and not after.. it is hilarious because pay direct or e-wallet actually not functioning at all for plus highway.. and some more when someone dont have enough balance on the card they have to put others hold in line.. so you still need balance on the card it self.. smart idea of the e-wallet but for me.. it is still not effective and ridiculous wasting time.. and 1 more thing balance on e-wallet and transaction are DAMM delay.. what year is it? 1980? real time transaction and e-wallet balance also take time.. then how come it gonna make it faster. i hope this gonna improve touch&go system
Well, they have not enable it for PLUS highway as of now, it isn't really TNG decision to give green light as they also need the toll concessionaires to approve it.

Better idea to just scan car number plate and pay directly from your TNG E-wallet,
And they can deduct from your account in case you forget to pay before reaching toll plaza

Hi, can someone tell me why my eWallet deducted RM4 without explain after i topup RM50 ?
I did checked my history transaction in eWallet. I got use smart tag at the toll, it show successful payment on that time with not enough money in my eWallet. i still can pass through. Meaning it was deduct my physical card, right? How i know they got deduct my physical card or not.
Alan Chan I also having the same situation as u. U can check whether ur physical card was charged on the touch n go website. Not the app.
I prefer to pay by Cash..
