What bearing puller and size did you use? Bought one from Harbor freight and the 3/8” didn’t fit. Bummer. Thanks

It was 10mm so 3/8" should work. What's happening when you try to use it? You may need to try to get the "lip" of the puller just inside the edge of the inner race before you tighten the puller.

@@AWildcatinGlamis I was finally able to do it. It was just a shy too big and no matter how hard a squeezed the tapered end , it just wouldn’t fit. Ended up using my Dremel and shaving a hair off the tapered fingers and it worked perfectly.
BY the way, I ended up installing the billet impeller from Casey Hauck. Sounds like it was better built than the one from Speed.

Glad you were able to do it. I just took a look at that impeller and it appears to be the same design as Dasa/LaRue. Not that its bad... its what I used.

@@AWildcatinGlamis I believe the difference is that the Hauck only has one circlip and its groove isn’t as deep as the others. I’m guessing that the failures in some others is due to the deeply grooved out circlip cut out in the shaft.

what are your normal temp ranges now with new impeller and water pump

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Temp range is normal. That would be determined by the t-stat. I got a new one but same temp so it opens at 160 deg.

@@AWildcatinGlamis the reason I was asking was my temperature gauge fluctuates at high speeds up to about 220° but it may cools down once you idle, so I didn't know if my impeller was shot

@@mymini911 if the impeller was bad the coolant would not circulate and it would immediately overheat. Check coolant level and quality. Make sure there are no blockages at the radiator. more in depth checking would be blockages in the system or maybe your thermostat is failing? Let me know if you find anything.

@@AWildcatinGlamis no leaking, just installed the speed Works bleeder kit, coolant is good, just at high speed runs. The temperature does climb quickly to over 222°.
