In interview to Kazakh TV Dimash stated, that he wakes up at 5:00 AM, at 5:30 he has began doing 3 hours of vocal exercises (scales, arpeggios, lip bubbles etc.)that it before he even begins his workday in the studio, or at rehearsals for a concert. To improve lung capacity and breath control, he will either swim laps in a pool for 1 hour uninterrupted or hit the treadmill for a 5 km run. Sometimes, he will substitute that for a full-on 90 minute soccer match with his mates and their team (he has good ball skills). He doesn't drink, either! He will often works 12-14 hour day. He sais he hates vacations. Dimash is the real deal, when it comes to showing how hard work and dedication will make you succeed!

The composer/writer Piergiuseppi Zaia also said it took three different singers to make the demo tape across Dimash's range, and he stood across the exit after the first screening to make sure everybody stayed through the credits to hear him. But my favorite story is the phone call after Dimash heard the demo tape, he said he'd do it but had conditions. Having spent a career working with Italian opera stars, Piergiuseppi got out his notebook for whatever ridiculousness the primadonna singer was going to request. Instead, Dimash said he'd just moved in with his grandparents, and wanted to be sure everyone was taking health precautions so he didn't bring disease back to them. It's so nice when heroes justify your fandom of them!

Exactly! It’s less about pausing or not pausing, or where to stop- bc even Dimash’s pauses are substantive when u skip them! To me it absolutely just takes a genuinely interested viewer who backs it up to reenter the experience. It appalls me especially vocal coaches who stop for a lengthy heady speech then just hit start on a whole new section without going back. It’s often his contrasts, the suspense.. it’s so many things with him that make it magic

Exactly! It’s less about pausing or not pausing, or where to stop- bc even Dimash’s pauses are substantive when u skip them! To me it absolutely just takes a genuinely interested viewer who backs it up to reenter the experience. It appalls me especially vocal coaches who stop for a lengthy heady speech then just hit start on a whole new section without going back. It’s often his contrasts, the suspense.. it’s so many things with him that make it magic

Dimash keeps surprising me in the same way! I think he does all of us. We’re never ready because we have no conception of what Dimash can truly do. We think we know his lower register, but then he keeps on improving it. We think we know his upper register and then he just casually sings his own guitar solo 🤯🤯🤯 And he’s always improving. WHAT WILL HE BE ABLE TO DO IN 10 YEARS!!?!!?? I literally have a conception of music before Dimash, and a completely different conception after. He’s rewriting all the rules. I think that Dimash is superhuman in singing , I have never ever seen such a thing in all my life . He is far beyond any other human singer in reaching high notes and low notes and changing his voice in such an amazing transitions . The greatest singer of all times !
