    The Disney Wonder cruise ship sails on the first Alaska itinerary of 2024! This is a day by day montage of the entire 7 night cruise, one of the Disney Wonder's most popular itineraries. On this sailing we got to experience sailing through the Inside Passage, spotting colossal glaciers, fjords, and countless whales, seals, bears, and bald eagles! We took part in excursions for every port that was offered.
    The ports traveled to were:
    Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Ketchikan, with a Glacier Viewing day at Tracy Arm.
    Port Adventures:
    Glacier Viewing Day -- Glacier Explorer Tour DG01 (South Sawyer Glacier)
    Icy Strait Point -- Whale and Marine Mammals Cruise IS01
    Juneau -- Glacier Seaplane Exploration JU49
    Juneau -- Taku Glacier Helicopter and Airboat Adventure JU78
    Ketchikan -- Misty Fjords National Monument by Seaplane KE52
    This sailing hosted ~2,100 guests. ~650 guests where children 12 and under. The approximate max capacity of the Disney Wonder is around 2,700 passengers.
    All food pictured in this video were included in the base cruise fare (Cabanas Buffet, Tiana's Place, Triton's, and Animator's Palate). Our party was in main seating, which started at 5:45pm each night.
    In 2024, the Disney Wonder sails in 3 markets: Australia & New Zealand, Mexico, and Alaska.

    • @Borhyas78
      @Borhyas78 Месяц назад

      I noticed the sail away has been late on an itinerary I saw for this year and now on some videos. I wonder if this is how they are doing it this year? I know there were complaints last year as they had Sail a Wave before they actually departed, maybe this is the solution this year?

    • @jjma
      @jjma  Месяц назад +1

      I don't know the actual reason why.. but I don't think it was planned to be at 7:45pm. All the stage props were ready to go during embarkation, but then were taken down shortly before departing. I am going to guess there was some issue where they had to delay it that day. I'm curious if anyone else who was on this sailing knows the reason?

    • @lumbyfamilyadventures5670
      @lumbyfamilyadventures5670 Месяц назад +1

      In Sydney depending on which cruise terminal it went into depended on what time sail a wave was as one had noise restrictions. We were lucky and got on at the right one where we had sail a wave at the departure time but we also had it finished before we left the dock which I didn’t care about as it was close to our dinner time
      Maybe they had feedback saying that in between dinner time was preferred! Certainly not my preferred time will be interesting to see when more videos come up if that trend continues

    Amazing work and beautiful videography!!! Question, how do you get the Timelapse’s of the sailing away as well as the maintenance areas of the ship? Do you have a list of devices you use?? Awesome job again!

    • @jjma
      @jjma  29 дней назад +1

      Hey there! Thanks! Timelapse is pretty simple. The ship has a public area on deck 10 up front. Just clamp it somewhere and push record. The maintenance area, where the anchors are suspended, are a public area at the forward section of the deck 4 promenade walking path. It's only closed down when the anchors are in use. Otherwise, anyone can see it!
      I can put a list of devices I used in the description section. a lot of people have been asking that. 80% of the video was shot on iPhone.

    • @nicwilliams7076
      @nicwilliams7076 29 дней назад

    • @jjma

      @@nicwilliams7076 Oh no, the nature shots required higher zoom that the iPhone 14 wasn't capable of. For those, i used a Canon r5 (are you able to tell the difference?) • @jjma
      @jjma  4 дня назад

      Hi! The plane rides were not included in the base fare. Those excursions are operated by third party companies, and Disney will get allocations for guests to purchase those excursions.
      - 5 Glacier Plane Ride Juneau - $369 USD per person
      - Taku Glacier Helicopter + Airboat - $939 USD per person

      Right? So dull. Who would want to spend 7 days in Alaska frolicking among wild life and glaciers. Hope you were being sarcastic! The content creator did a wonderful job encapsulating the trip.

    Слава богу что Аляска досталась Америке, было бы наше ( русское) был полный п....ц, зверей бы всех перебили, рыбу в реках вырезали, леса бы повырубали на продажу Китаю. СЛАВА ВСЕВЫШНЕМУ!

      It would be a shame to see nature like this destroyed. I am glad it is kept in its raw form!

    Great video! We chatted at the very end of the day 2 glacier explorer excursion. You offered to take my husband and my photo and we learned of your channel. Also, spotted ourselves in your video a couple times. It was a wonderful cruise, thank you for all your hard work putting this together and capturing the Disney Wonder Alaska cruise experience. Felt like we relived the trip!
