    Wd 40 will clean all of the stainless and rid and protect from rust. Also our little AS trailers seem to be more prone to moisture. So please remember to keep some damprid out will help you some too. We are on AS two in our life and love them as well. The WD 40 will make you a happy camper in terms of cleaning sinks faucets will polish up nice etc....anything metal it cleans.

    Great video! We too have our "Loves" and "Hates" about our Airstream. Paramount amongst those hates in our 22' AS is the "roundabout" cabinet which is designed to fling anything stored there into the never-regions of the chassis only to be retrieved with the greatest of efforts. Still, we love our Airstream and can't wait to get it back to Central Florida and do some serious Disney...

      Thanks so much for the kind words! We still haven’t figured out the hot water situation. It’s an error code of E3 and we need to call Airstream to investigate. The manual doesn’t really address it. We suspect it’s a setting issue as the hot water works once we turn it off and back on. It’s more annoying than anything. :) Thanks for watching!

    We just traded or 2020 23' Flying Could FB in for a 2021 27'Flying Cloud FB. The 23' was our 1st ever RV, and so we were learning.What we found was that in most of the places we camped, the best view from the 23' was when you were sitting on the toilet. The other thing was in the 23', the queen bed is turned sideways, so when my wife had to get up in the middle of the night to check out the fabulous view from the toilet, she had to crawl over me and usually one of our dogs. We had many great experiences in our 23', and are looking forward to many more in our 27'.

      Hey Phil, I would really LOVE if you could do a walk-through type video of your 2021 Flying Cloud 27FB. I'm having a really hard time finding anything, and the AS website is crap for really descriptive photos and/or videos. We're considering the AS you have as compared to the Flying Cloud 28RB.....we have the same issue with wanting to find walk-through videos on the 28RB too. • @zmankhz
    @zmankhz 3 года назад +1

    Great video. Every RV in some way is a compromise. Airstreams should last virtually forever if well taken care of but its a trailer and does require some hitching/unhitching. A class A or class C obviously no hitching/unhitching unless you get a vehicle to tow behind and then your back to that. But then with a motor home you have an engine that will need repair/maintenance and depreciation with the miles on the motor. And even the multimillion dollar rigs still require you to handle the hookups to some degree so I don’t know any way to avoid it completely. Beyond that, an Airstream is in our future someday when we decide to upgrade since they are timeless and have longevity and don’t depreciate nearly as much as other rigs. Congrats on the AS though. They are great!

    This is the first time I've seen any of your videos. Good job. I'd be very disappointed in the sinks. Airstream has found a manufacturer that makes them look like stainless steel. Stainless steel is a real eye catcher when shopping for an RV. Stainless steel doesn't rust. Anyone would be duped into thinking they were getting SS, unless they carried a little magnet. A magnet will not stick to non-ferrous metal. SS is a non-ferrous metal. If you have a magnet, try it out. I like your floor. I like the placement of the bathroom. Privacy is good, playing the radio is also a good way to disguise nature.

    In reference to the stainless sinks. I call it “tea spotting”They are contaminated possibly with steel wool or some kind of scrubby pad make sure you use a stainless steel pad or a scotch bright pad to clean your sinks.

    • @richardmain8059
      @richardmain8059 3 года назад +8

      It could be a manufacturing defect, which occurs when the manufacturer doesn’t remove all the metal contamination prior to the plating process, the contamination reveals itself as rust. You can use some green Scotch Bright Pads to remove the rust stain but it will come back because the surface is flawed with contamination ie. microscopic metal fragments that were not removed during the manufactures cleaning process prior to plating. Airstream should replace the subject sinks under warranty.

    ( *likely it's Chinese in origin...their concept of 'stainless steel' is very different than Western standards* )
    *In any event I would like to see a response from 'Airstream' on the issue, because 'water spots' should NOT serve to create
    the 'rust blooms' I'm seeing in the video*

It's good you have it on video, I would take the evidence back to your Airstream dealer and ask them to make it right. Hopefully the next shipment of sinks Airstream receives is higher quality, and they can swap out your sink for one that is actual good quality stainless steel.

    Coconut oil on the sink. May Jesus continue to bless you and your family

    Those sinks shouldn’t show rust. You should call air stream about the sinks. I think the supplier of the sinks is at fault here.

      We did notify Airstream and they did not do anything unfortunately. They told us to try Barkeepers friend as a solution. Though I agree with you and I was a bit disappointed that this was even an issue.

      @@ExactlyErica you need to look very close at bottom of your door and see if it is cutting into frame of trailer, this is a serious problem with airstreams. If you see a black mark it damaged .
