O my god
Could it be that directors are also fans?
I love how Quinten is very clearly a fanboy of all these classic movies, and it shows in his work. Maybe not the best director but definetly the most unique and most fun director alive today.
I love you, Quentin.

The opening credits of Georges Franju's Judex (1963) cuts to music.
Alex Youngen emotion makes you tell things bigger than they are, it makes you present truth in a way somewhat disjointed from the reality, emotion is hyperbolistic in nature. You didn t know that ?
Quentin Tarantino is the only living filmmaker who’s biggest fan has the same first and last name as himself
what?
can anyone explain me about cuts to music term? I have no idea
For certain sections of Leone’s movies, particularly in the Dollars trilogy, Morricone would bring a finished piece of music to Leone and then Leone would morph the scene around that music. Sometimes even editing scenes to build up and fall back at the same time as the music. When Tarantino says cut to music he meant that Leone would edit scenes to fit Morricone’s music.
This is the opposite of what many directors do. Usually a scene is mostly finished before a composer sees it and starts creating music for it. Or the director will give input at least as to what the music needs to convey. The music follows what the scene is doing, not the other way around.
Simply it means the picture changes in time to the music ,cutting refers to the editing process
@@RossardJames I'd like to add that QT has been a proponent of cutting the scene to music himself, as evidenced by his impeccable needle drop moments. He's absolutely worthy of the title of being the heir to Sergio Leone's works.
