As for the identity of the female voice, I believe it to be a Karnak, logically speaking if they were both men they’d be called the Karnak Brothers, and all the arch heretic assassination style boss enemies are already men, would make sense for one of the Karnaks to be a woman for some variety.

Genestealer traits dont normally show themselves until a few generations. so the initial infected people will look normal, their children and their childrens children will start to show signs of mutation, with full genestealers being a possibility after 3-4 generations. @@khjansma3754
Not every genestealer hybrid has the ridged forehead, they can also get cosmetic surgery to hide their more obvious traits. It's also possible that she was infected with a genestealer's kiss or is being somehow mind controlled by a patriarch or something.
I don't think other Chaos God will intervene Nurgle little playground, just yet. More like next game would be a better fitting story. But I like the idea of adding more Daemonic enemy into the fight, maybe a small swarms of Nurgling, some Plaguebearer, and a Nurgle Drone.
If it were a drone, I kind of assume we'd have heard from Wyrmwood more about loud buzzing before she died. But I've had the same thought. In my opinion, two things that have been missing from Left 4 Dead style game is low ground/underground based enemies that pop up from below to surprise you, and air assaults. I hope we get to see drones someday!

Wolfer and Zola could have very well been Hive Gangers before he joined the Mobian 6th. Another thing adding on to the fact this is the start of the game as a new character, Zola is an Explicator, which is very low on an inquisitor’s retinue. Yet she personally shows up on the prison barge to confirm Wolfer’s capture. That is typically a job for the Inquisitor themselves or their highest ranked Interrogator (in this case Ranick) and we now know she’s been leaving the Morningstar lying about having his permission to conduct operations.
@sovietstarfishproductions5019 I think an Explicator is actually fairly prestigious because it's typically an Inquisitor's actual apprentice, which is a big deal. That being said, I also get the feeling Grendyl's retinue aside from Rannick in this particular venture of his may be very hodge podge and made up on the fly. Ranks may have less sway in this setting.

The Explicator's are the first step to being inquisitors. The list below comprises the details of the rank status of Inquisitorial warbands. High Interrogator - A senior rank of Interrogator, but still short of full Inquisitorial status. Interrogator - The second stage for an Inquisitor in training. Interrogators are both capable and strong, having a tremendous will to survive battle alongside their mentors. I’m still holding out hope that genestealers are going to come into the picture at some point so how I think this could play out is Zola becoming a traditional turncoat spikey armor heretic and potentially morrow being the genestealer. He’s referenced countless times having been at xanatros which was so overrun with the stealers that he was the only one of his team that walked away before presumably getting lost in the warp for an extended period. I also know that stealers LOVE infesting warp lost ships and space hulks (thanks deathwing!) so it’s not out of the question he could have been compromised ether at xanatros or the warp. It’s also been referenced in a reject’s conversation that he’s up for a substantial promotion, and isn’t one of the genestealers ways of moving is to infect high ranking individuals? Ether way, fat shark has the opportunity to do something truly game shaking here by having the person who originally vouched for us turn new big bad and I genuinely hope they don’t throw it away in favor of something more safe.
My theory is that Zola has been afflicted by a Gene stealer cult, one of the mission dialogue from the Psyker implicates that she's hiding secrets she doesn't even know about, so maybe we go save her from that? That's my guess at least
I did a video where I talked about that a bit and other implications Zola may be part of a GSC! Given the direction of The Traitor Curse, I kind of doubt it'll happen at least in this update. ..............but I still kind of secretly hope they do that.
I had initially thought that the voice at the end of the trailer was one of the Karnak Twins. The voice says "I'll be looking forward to hearing you scream" makes me think its someone our characters hasn't met, i.e. the Karnak Twins who will be placed in missions and actively hunting or patrolling to fight us. Its possible that the Twins are different genders, to loosely quote Wolfer in the Part 1 trailer "your sons and daughters have returned." But your theory also makes me wonder... Zola is a native to tertium. She could entirely be considered a "daughter" of Tertium and Atoma no? And furthermore, if she has been going to Tertium in person frequently, and has ultimately turned coat (?) she could also be described as a "daughter" who has "returned". Picking apart the trailer quote, though, "I'll be looking forward to hearing you scream" doesn't gramatically read like its being said by someone with history to our characters. Maybe I'm reading too far into that but I'd figure if it was Zola, even if its to be hinted and guessed at, she would have said "[I've] been looking forward to..." "looking forward to [making] you scream". That grammar to me makes more sense to me if it were Zola herself, as it would be her claiming ownership of those actions as well as having been wanting to do it for some time even while talking to us. If it is Zola I might beg to guess that the Witches that Captain Wolfer comments about may have taken control of her during one of her excursions. that to me would explain the unaquanted grammar. That all said I have to wonder what Zola was doing on Tertium during her in-person visits that she had to lie to Morrow claiming Rannick gave her personal permission to do so with no oversight. Maybe she at some point got in contact with Grendyl and has been operating with his explicit directive and was told not to communicate that and not risk exposing Grendyl? Personal reasons? Or she truly is a traitor for whichever reason. As for content I agree that things will feel sour if "all" we get is two missions and new weapon marks when so much feels like it's been teased. I get that we're in some regards a whole year behind content pace schedule but for an anniversary update standing alone for the holiday season until early next year this might not provide the content refresh that I was hoping it'd be. Surely that is a fault of my own expectations, but nonetheless... If what has been teased is the majority of content coming I'd really hope that we get a Carnival Pt. 3 and 4 early next year.
There's a lot of possibilities for what could be going on, and it's entirely possible we won't actually know until sometime after the Traitor Curse. I certainly hope we get something really exciting for Part 2, but even if we don't, it's been a great addition and it seems there is more going on narratively. It's a Boone and a curse that Fatshark does some of the best work bringing Warhammer to life, because of course we're all always going to be ravenous for more and everyone wants to see their specific favorite thing.

If the Karnak encounters are going to be the first “limited time encounter”, limited time content, that might also be a marker for a change in Zola’s mission banter. If she’s become an enemy, I’d figure they’d remove the dialogue and her as a possible mission briefer and strike team leader. Yea that’s the tough thing about the content. Ultimately this is a good deal of content, and I’m happy we’re getting it. there’s so many options and possibilities formulating. They do an amazing job on bubbling potential for their games, and I trust FS to do cool stuff since Verm.

The thing with theories of Zola turning traitor or whatever and being given a mission to fight her is how is that handled with regards to mission briefings and cutscenes. If you have a mission to kill her what happens to all the voice lines they recorded for and about her? At what point does she become a traitor from the tutorial mission to the assassination mission considering people picking up the game after such a plot was added? I can't see any named characters switching sides, but a mission to rescue her or help her in her own mission I could see being added.
regarding voice analysis, talented voice actors do have a lot of range, but something that is a bit harder to hide from is formant analysis. basically, when we talk, we have fundamental frequencies that our voices make, and the spaces between those frequencies sort of act as a signature. even with post processing pitch shifts that relative spacing doesn't change. That's why we can *usually* pick out the difference between a male and female voice. In short, however, if you look at each voice in a spectrograph, the very solid lower frequency bars should be the fundamentals, and if you can get like a word or syllable that is the same between all voices, you might be able to get an answer. of course, fat shark could troll us all and use the same voice actor for a different role
It was a real bummer for me that the Traitor's Curse didn't bring any new weapons. We know that a boltpistol, melta and longlas are in the game files (some of them since the beta) and the Moebian 6th uses both plasmapistols and hellguns, so I don't get why FS doesn't expedite making them playable instead of providing merely another set of additional Mk. for existing weapons.
1. Grendyl’s been planetside the whole time, most likely even before the coup. 2. Grendyl’s orders to the warband are noted by several characters that ‘this is highly irregular’ in regards to HOW they’re instructed to operate/sabotage objectives. 3. Zola said in the prologue about wolf “my master wants to interrogate him.” Grendyl or Another? Maybe same person? Why wouldn’t Rannick interrogate him instead of Grendyl? 4. Zola most likely was responsible for not allowing Wyrmwood to reach Rannick. The entire time it’s always an issue with the vox channels being jammed or intercepted, yet for Zola it’s implied she simply isn’t answering. I also believe it’s the first Vox that isn’t picking up other channels, possibly because Zola is absent and can’t garble the comms. I believe I’m experiencing an aneurism
Lol, the out of sequence order we get the entire narrative in makes my head spin. I still think I might have an aneurism because of the whole plot bizarreness over the Reject strike team that's shown on the cover art of the game and in the promos before the game launched. That same team are seen in the "I am a warrior" intro cinematic that supposedly takes place when we're freed from the Tancred Bastion, and the Zealot with short black hair, the Ogryn, the Psyker with the unique tattoo combination, they're all there. But.......that same Zealot and the Ogryn step out of Masozi's ship at the end of the tutorial to help fend off the enemies during your last stand with Zola. So......................were these other rejects that were freed before the events on the Bastion???? Has Grendyl's inquisition been running a work release program before now? ......Wat??? But yeah, Grendyl has been on the planet and possibly not even in Tertium. Zola is as far as we can tell referring to Grendyl when she says the master want to interrogate Wolfer, because that's the same title Wyrmwood uses in reference to the inquisitor specifically as well. Grendyl would interrogate Wolfer directly, because Wolfer is likely the person who brought the entire Moebian 6th to fall to Chaos. Which would fit thematically within the 40k universe - Mortarion doesn't bring the Death Guard to fall to Nurgle, Typhon does. Lorgar vs Erebus, etc. There's a running theme of loyalists falling to Chaos not by their leader/Most Important Person, but instead someone who would have otherwise filled a role of "Some Guy," which only being a Captain, Wolfer likely fits this schema too. The "highly irregular" nature of some of the missions I think revolve mostly around where the mission objective is to raid and take back areas for communications purposes, and the explanation given is that since there is concern of a heretic on board, Grendyl wants to make sure communications are secure and direct. I don't think there's any way to prove this, but the Archivum mission where we send a "status report" may very well be a vox communication to Wyrmwood, possibly even Vox 11. As for Zola being responsible for transmission interruptions, that's difficult to know. It could be. I believe it's supposed to be implied that Mara (the level 30 cutscene traitor) is the one responsible when in another cutscene a guardsmen is found dead at his station where a screen displays "transmission terminated." But Mara may have also just been a patsy for or working under another traitor on the ship. I really hope someday Fatshark makes the voxes accessible somewhere on the Mourningstar, and that the narrative gets clearer as we go along. I have a feeling it won't, because it makes sense that if we're acting as filthy former traitor scum, we'd not know jack shit about goings on accessible to only the higher ups. At least it leaves a lot of speculation room for lore enthusiasts! Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk. 😅

The missing word could also say "located," meaning that something bad could've happened to her during her trip planetside, and a strike team is dispatched to figure out why she didn't come back. My theory is that she might have been captured and turned into a Daemonhost/unknown abomination that we'll have to fight later or in the new mission. It'll fit in with the sudden appearance of the Karnak Twins and them managing to capture her for "enlightening" or whatever that is. It also fits in with the general tone of W40K as well, emphasizing the dangers of Chaos and the necessary evil that is the Inquisition.

Given "demon infestation" was present since day one in some missions like water supply cleanup, I've always assumed there's either warp storm or major summoning ritual going on in Tertium, as Fatshark has bit too much attention to detail to let such things slip by.
I also want to fight other chaos gods and ogers, tyranides and the tau. Basically let us fight all the factions. And one planet ain't enough. I also want more levels. 30 ain't enough give us 5 more, and give each class an ultimate based on there actual role at lvl 40 that they get at every 500 kills.
I agree, I'm hopeful that they'll be turned into slightly different models and be kept in the game once their story relevance has expired. It's part of why I feel some kind of Daemonic incursion is likely to happen too. Why would Fatshark go through the effort of modeling Nurglings around the time Darktide is getting close to launch, just to only bring them out once a year in Vermintide 2? You'd think they'd want as much mileage out of everything as they can.

It's such a tough call. She seems so sincere about her resolve to save Tertium, and her somewhat attachment to the rejects. But it’s also always the person you least expect.... I do think she could be getting manipulated by an entity.

I honestly can't guess as to why it'd be a limited time encounter, except I suppose their part in the story might end at a certain point, so it'd make no sense for them to be alive? I really hope there ends up being a permanent combat encounter where they just look different. The biggest pain point, in my opinion, is Darktide is desperately lacking in enemy variety. The Scabs and Dregs aren't enough to carry this game much longer - another game that offers a similar co-op experience but has a more engaging gameplay loop will come out next year and take their audience if Fatshark doesn't add something with an exciting recognition factor soon.
@@EnenraSage Uhg, that's so annoying. I'm sorry to hear that! Are you running an Nvidia GPU? If you are, the day Part 2 came out, Nvidia got a driver update. When Part 1 came out, that same thing happened to me, and there was a Geforce driver update that same day too. Updating fixed my problem, but I know there's been a few people that have had major issues with Darktide running since Part 2 came out.

I feel like Zola might have some history with Wolfer outside of him being a traitor. Given how she has been acting since his escape. He might have been from the Torrent as well?

@@Jo.Plays.Games. Possibly, Zola has specifically shutdown conversations when asked if she ever did dirty work for them. Wolfer and Zola could have very well been Hive Gangers before he joined the Mobian 6th.
Another thing adding on to the fact this is the start of the game as a new character, Zola is an Explicator, which is very low on an inquisitor’s retinue. Yet she personally shows up on the prison barge to confirm Wolfer’s capture. That is typically a job for the Inquisitor themselves or their highest ranked Interrogator (in this case Ranick) and we now know she’s been leaving the Morningstar lying about having his permission to conduct operations.
@sovietstarfishproductions5019 I think an Explicator is actually fairly prestigious because it's typically an Inquisitor's actual apprentice, which is a big deal.
That being said, I also get the feeling Grendyl's retinue aside from Rannick in this particular venture of his may be very hodge podge and made up on the fly. Ranks may have less sway in this setting.
@@Jo.Plays.Games. technically you're both correct in the sense that Zola is a low ranking member of the warband. The interrogator Rannick is the closest we have to an apprentice Inquisitor. The Explicator's are the first step to being inquisitors. The list below comprises the details of the rank status of Inquisitorial warbands.
High Interrogator - A senior rank of Interrogator, but still short of full Inquisitorial status.
Interrogator - The second stage for an Inquisitor in training. Interrogators are both capable and strong, having a tremendous will to survive battle alongside their mentors.
Explicator - The first step of an Inquisitor in training, they learn how to extract information using torture under the direction of their mentor Inquisitor.
Legate Investigator - Some Ordos, such as the Ordos Calixis, make use of Acolytes gifted with a formal carta of inquiry and a Sigil of Question, giving them the formal authority of the Inquisition for the duration of a particular investigation.
Prime - The lead Acolyte of a Warband.

This would also make a bit more sense as to why she was spared in the raid to get Wolfer, maybe he was like “For old times sake, I’ll leave you alive”

I’m still holding out hope that genestealers are going to come into the picture at some point so how I think this could play out is Zola becoming a traditional turncoat spikey armor heretic and potentially morrow being the genestealer. He’s referenced countless times having been at xanatros which was so overrun with the stealers that he was the only one of his team that walked away before presumably getting lost in the warp for an extended period. I also know that stealers LOVE infesting warp lost ships and space hulks (thanks deathwing!) so it’s not out of the question he could have been compromised ether at xanatros or the warp. It’s also been referenced in a reject’s conversation that he’s up for a substantial promotion, and isn’t one of the genestealers ways of moving is to infect high ranking individuals? Ether way, fat shark has the opportunity to do something truly game shaking here by having the person who originally vouched for us turn new big bad and I genuinely hope they don’t throw it away in favor of something more safe.
My theory is that Zola has been afflicted by a Gene stealer cult, one of the mission dialogue from the Psyker implicates that she's hiding secrets she doesn't even know about, so maybe we go save her from that? That's my guess at least
I did a video where I talked about that a bit and other implications Zola may be part of a GSC! Given the direction of The Traitor Curse, I kind of doubt it'll happen at least in this update. ..............but I still kind of secretly hope they do that.
I had initially thought that the voice at the end of the trailer was one of the Karnak Twins. The voice says "I'll be looking forward to hearing you scream" makes me think its someone our characters hasn't met, i.e. the Karnak Twins who will be placed in missions and actively hunting or patrolling to fight us. Its possible that the Twins are different genders, to loosely quote Wolfer in the Part 1 trailer "your sons and daughters have returned." But your theory also makes me wonder... Zola is a native to tertium. She could entirely be considered a "daughter" of Tertium and Atoma no? And furthermore, if she has been going to Tertium in person frequently, and has ultimately turned coat (?) she could also be described as a "daughter" who has "returned". Picking apart the trailer quote, though, "I'll be looking forward to hearing you scream" doesn't gramatically read like its being said by someone with history to our characters. Maybe I'm reading too far into that but I'd figure if it was Zola, even if its to be hinted and guessed at, she would have said "[I've] been looking forward to..." "looking forward to [making] you scream". That grammar to me makes more sense to me if it were Zola herself, as it would be her claiming ownership of those actions as well as having been wanting to do it for some time even while talking to us.
If it is Zola I might beg to guess that the Witches that Captain Wolfer comments about may have taken control of her during one of her excursions. that to me would explain the unaquanted grammar.
That all said I have to wonder what Zola was doing on Tertium during her in-person visits that she had to lie to Morrow claiming Rannick gave her personal permission to do so with no oversight. Maybe she at some point got in contact with Grendyl and has been operating with his explicit directive and was told not to communicate that and not risk exposing Grendyl? Personal reasons? Or she truly is a traitor for whichever reason.
As for content I agree that things will feel sour if "all" we get is two missions and new weapon marks when so much feels like it's been teased. I get that we're in some regards a whole year behind content pace schedule but for an anniversary update standing alone for the holiday season until early next year this might not provide the content refresh that I was hoping it'd be. Surely that is a fault of my own expectations, but nonetheless... If what has been teased is the majority of content coming I'd really hope that we get a Carnival Pt. 3 and 4 early next year.
There's a lot of possibilities for what could be going on, and it's entirely possible we won't actually know until sometime after the Traitor Curse.
I certainly hope we get something really exciting for Part 2, but even if we don't, it's been a great addition and it seems there is more going on narratively. It's a Boone and a curse that Fatshark does some of the best work bringing Warhammer to life, because of course we're all always going to be ravenous for more and everyone wants to see their specific favorite thing.

If the Karnak encounters are going to be the first “limited time encounter”, limited time content, that might also be a marker for a change in Zola’s mission banter. If she’s become an enemy, I’d figure they’d remove the dialogue and her as a possible mission briefer and strike team leader.
Yea that’s the tough thing about the content. Ultimately this is a good deal of content, and I’m happy we’re getting it. there’s so many options and possibilities formulating. They do an amazing job on bubbling potential for their games, and I trust FS to do cool stuff since Verm.

The thing with theories of Zola turning traitor or whatever and being given a mission to fight her is how is that handled with regards to mission briefings and cutscenes. If you have a mission to kill her what happens to all the voice lines they recorded for and about her? At what point does she become a traitor from the tutorial mission to the assassination mission considering people picking up the game after such a plot was added? I can't see any named characters switching sides, but a mission to rescue her or help her in her own mission I could see being added.
I agree, but she doesn't have to die from an encounter to somehow be set up as a threat. Especially if she were possessed or something like that.

regarding voice analysis, talented voice actors do have a lot of range, but something that is a bit harder to hide from is formant analysis. basically, when we talk, we have fundamental frequencies that our voices make, and the spaces between those frequencies sort of act as a signature. even with post processing pitch shifts that relative spacing doesn't change. That's why we can *usually* pick out the difference between a male and female voice. In short, however, if you look at each voice in a spectrograph, the very solid lower frequency bars should be the fundamentals, and if you can get like a word or syllable that is the same between all voices, you might be able to get an answer. of course, fat shark could troll us all and use the same voice actor for a different role
It was a real bummer for me that the Traitor's Curse didn't bring any new weapons. We know that a boltpistol, melta and longlas are in the game files (some of them since the beta) and the Moebian 6th uses both plasmapistols and hellguns, so I don't get why FS doesn't expedite making them playable instead of providing merely another set of additional Mk. for existing weapons.

1. Grendyl’s been planetside the whole time, most likely even before the coup.
2. Grendyl’s orders to the warband are noted by several characters that ‘this is highly irregular’ in regards to HOW they’re instructed to operate/sabotage objectives.
3. Zola said in the prologue about wolf “my master wants to interrogate him.” Grendyl or Another? Maybe same person? Why wouldn’t Rannick interrogate him instead of Grendyl?
4. Zola most likely was responsible for not allowing Wyrmwood to reach Rannick. The entire time it’s always an issue with the vox channels being jammed or intercepted, yet for Zola it’s implied she simply isn’t answering. I also believe it’s the first Vox that isn’t picking up other channels, possibly because Zola is absent and can’t garble the comms.

Lol, the out of sequence order we get the entire narrative in makes my head spin. I still think I might have an aneurism because of the whole plot bizarreness over the Reject strike team that's shown on the cover art of the game and in the promos before the game launched.
That same team are seen in the "I am a warrior" intro cinematic that supposedly takes place when we're freed from the Tancred Bastion, and the Zealot with short black hair, the Ogryn, the Psyker with the unique tattoo combination, they're all there. But.......that same Zealot and the Ogryn step out of Masozi's ship at the end of the tutorial to help fend off the enemies during your last stand with Zola. So......................were these other rejects that were freed before the events on the Bastion????

But yeah, Grendyl has been on the planet and possibly not even in Tertium. Zola is as far as we can tell referring to Grendyl when she says the master want to interrogate Wolfer, because that's the same title Wyrmwood uses in reference to the inquisitor specifically as well.
Grendyl would interrogate Wolfer directly, because Wolfer is likely the person who brought the entire Moebian 6th to fall to Chaos. Which would fit thematically within the 40k universe - Mortarion doesn't bring the Death Guard to fall to Nurgle, Typhon does. Lorgar vs Erebus, etc. There's a running theme of loyalists falling to Chaos not by their leader/Most Important Person, but instead someone who would have otherwise filled a role of "Some Guy," which only being a Captain, Wolfer likely fits this schema too.
The "highly irregular" nature of some of the missions I think revolve mostly around where the mission objective is to raid and take back areas for communications purposes, and the explanation given is that since there is concern of a heretic on board, Grendyl wants to make sure communications are secure and direct. I don't think there's any way to prove this, but the Archivum mission where we send a "status report" may very well be a vox communication to Wyrmwood, possibly even Vox 11.
As for Zola being responsible for transmission interruptions, that's difficult to know. It could be. I believe it's supposed to be implied that Mara (the level 30 cutscene traitor) is the one responsible when in another cutscene a guardsmen is found dead at his station where a screen displays "transmission terminated." But Mara may have also just been a patsy for or working under another traitor on the ship.
I really hope someday Fatshark makes the voxes accessible somewhere on the Mourningstar, and that the narrative gets clearer as we go along. I have a feeling it won't, because it makes sense that if we're acting as filthy former traitor scum, we'd not know jack shit about goings on accessible to only the higher ups. At least it leaves a lot of speculation room for lore enthusiasts!

The missing word could also say "located," meaning that something bad could've happened to her during her trip planetside, and a strike team is dispatched to figure out why she didn't come back.
My theory is that she might have been captured and turned into a Daemonhost/unknown abomination that we'll have to fight later or in the new mission.
It'll fit in with the sudden appearance of the Karnak Twins and them managing to capture her for "enlightening" or whatever that is.
It also fits in with the general tone of W40K as well, emphasizing the dangers of Chaos and the necessary evil that is the Inquisition.

I have no guesses as to who the sinister woman is, but it's pretty clearly the same voice actor as Sienna, some of the operators, and more.

The VA at the end just reminds me of the trapper with a higher and more insane tone. Just thought it might be a boss character akin to being a leader of a particular group within the heretics. Maybe she’s the leader of all the trapers, like someone being a mad scientist responsible of all the chems done to the Ragers, the Tox Flamers and/or the fabrication of Stims.
Ok here is a mystery, who is Brunt? We get weapons from his armory, we talk to servitors that are labeled as his, but we never see or hear anything about this brunt character
He's the big ogryn we see in the Brunt's armory cutscene.

Id like to think "new target redacted" is hopefully a monster,id like a new one. Personally id think 9 monsters would be optimal. 1 being DH so 8 active monsters.

Given "demon infestation" was present since day one in some missions like water supply cleanup, I've always assumed there's either warp storm or major summoning ritual going on in Tertium, as Fatshark has bit too much attention to detail to let such things slip by.
I also want to fight other chaos gods and ogers, tyranides and the tau. Basically let us fight all the factions. And one planet ain't enough. I also want more levels. 30 ain't enough give us 5 more, and give each class an ultimate based on there actual role at lvl 40 that they get at every 500 kills.
Darktide does not need limited time events that get vaulted. At least leave them (The Karnak twins) in locked to the two carnival maps.
I agree, I'm hopeful that they'll be turned into slightly different models and be kept in the game once their story relevance has expired.
It's part of why I feel some kind of Daemonic incursion is likely to happen too. Why would Fatshark go through the effort of modeling Nurglings around the time Darktide is getting close to launch, just to only bring them out once a year in Vermintide 2? You'd think they'd want as much mileage out of everything as they can.

I really hope there ends up being a permanent combat encounter where they just look different.
The biggest pain point, in my opinion, is Darktide is desperately lacking in enemy variety. The Scabs and Dregs aren't enough to carry this game much longer - another game that offers a similar co-op experience but has a more engaging gameplay loop will come out next year and take their audience if Fatshark doesn't add something with an exciting recognition factor soon.

@@EnenraSage Uhg, that's so annoying. I'm sorry to hear that! Are you running an Nvidia GPU? If you are, the day Part 2 came out, Nvidia got a driver update. When Part 1 came out, that same thing happened to me, and there was a Geforce driver update that same day too. Updating fixed my problem, but I know there's been a few people that have had major issues with Darktide running since Part 2 came out.

so far I hated the update. Was expecting some new enemies or something new (weapons, events, new skills, new character maybe?). Other than 1 map. Really? That's all we've got? Sad. I completly stoped playing the game all together and all my friends did the same, cuz we all got really bumped down from the update.
I can understand that perspective, for sure. I hold out hope that something really cool is coming with whatever they're still holding back, though.
