Now that seems like an odd use of resources. I'm assuming the patient was being transported in the MPV, rather than the IC unit. In QAS you certainly wouldn't have three units going code 1 on an IFT. If there was an ICP/CCP in the transporting unit, the second would be available as a single officer response. And, if you're going to have a supervisor, get them to do traffic splits so the transporting unit can have a smoother trip.
Good catch, almost looks like a toy van from the sides and rear. Not a fan of the lighting setup, would have been better with all red and all blue lights.
@@SydneyEmergency That's interesting. We have bariatric units in QAS, but they're kitted out with the various bariatric tools, like the hover mattress etc. Not really multi-tasked like this MPV.
The size of the trucks mean that they’re used for retrievals with bulky life support machines like heart bypasses. Theyre also part of the CBRNE response process among other roles.
0:28 Did anyone else hear the HI LO? Nice catch mate!!

@@coover65 This isnt an IFT its a scene primary. All crews were involved in patient care.

That was actually a Bariatric ambulance for bigger people.
It's called a Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) because it has a bunch of different roles including bariatric.
